Vunipola stands firm over biblical views of sexual morality
England rugby union star Billy Vunipola has refused to go back on his view that sex should be reserved for opposite-sex marriage.

Vunipola was attacked for liking an Instagram post by Israel Folau, an Australian rugby player, who paraphrased a Bible verse calling on “drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars” and others to repent.

Following a social media backlash, Vunipola released a statement outlining his views on sexual morality, but was disciplined by the Rugby Football Union (RFU).

If you are to be known as a people who are characterized by their love, then truth is above all else, itheir virtue. Truth only hurts if you do not have the capacity to know it and blessed to be made free by it.

Sure is interesting, Mike, how the crystal clear verse you referenced, along with so many others, seem to be completely invisible to all of the LGBTQ "Christians", who, like Steve Buttigieg, talk openly about their faith, etc. As for the rest, they just don't care either way, because they have gods of their own inventions, and all of those gods are in full agreement with whatever they happen to believe, or do in life; they don't judge. Convenient.

I researched all of the verses that have to do with homosexuality in the Bible, old to new, and was surprised how many there were, so there won't be any excuses, that's for sure.

Beyond me how anyone could ever be attracted to the same gender, but I'm sure there are components I'm not aware of...not biological, but mental, emotional, childhood trauma, etc.

Romans 1:27
"And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."

Unless this has been rescinded, we may expect more and more disease and death from this so called lifestyle. Sometimes reality is insensitive.

Good for him, standing firm, and standing strong, especially knowing full well what it would mean, by way of public outrage, and even, potentially, destroying his livelihood.

Crazy how times have changed so quickly, and the filthy, unnatural things once done in secret; the taboo, are now out in the open, celebrated, glamorized, and even, encouraged. The sodomites went from being in hiding, as the majority of society shunned them, and their deeds, illegal, to out, loud, proud, having new laws enacted on their behalf, and infecting an entire nation, because the very same society now supports, protects, and fights on their behalf, not to mention the sheer power they now have with mainstream media, and Democrats in their corner.

One would think that AIDS has been all but cured, and a deadly disease of days gone by, because any talk of it now is considered fear-mongering, and insensitive. Crazy.

Interesting to see this work out in England that has so many Christian roots and historical figures like Tyndale and Spurgeon. But, we have a better set of 'eyeglasses' to view the News of the Day, and it is called the Bible.
Of course, V. is right in what he thinks about marriage because it is what the Bible says.
Of course there is opposition to him, since the English society is no longer Christian, despite the Prime Minister's role in naming the head of the Church of England.
But V. would get more opposition, I think, if he stood up and said he supported the rules we find in I Timothy 5 about how widows should be treated in the church, and how that lays out a model for Biblical Womanhood. Many Christians around the world would think he is out-moded, old-fashioned, and very wrong on taking Paul's instructions to Timothy 'out of context.'
Well, that means they have another Guidebook to Interpret the Bible that therefore is more powerful than the Bible.

Yes Vunipola is a Christian.

The sad fact is that the Uk is reprobate and deliberately anti-Christian and anti-Bible.

This evil reality is being made obvious throughout the UK.

More and more Christians are discriminated, persecuted and being driven underground.

Politicians, bureaucrats, police and justice system are demonstrating their discrimination against the Bible and Bible followers.

Since these Christian sports people are being attacked for their religious beliefs by those who watch the games, then it is growing worse daily.

Freedom of speech and Freedom of religion is no longer practised in Britain. - Not for Christians.
Too many hypocrites.

May the Lord rebuke them.

My hope is that he is Christian, because otherwise all he is doing is just waste...

When the apostle Paul said that we are the most to be pitied, if Christ wasn't true, he was telling the truth...

Mocked, "disciplined", abused, loosing rights; if it's not all for Christ, then we are certainly the most of all creatures to be pitied...

It's a comfort to know that no matter what happens down here, God is looking from up there. All the things that happen are kept in a detailed, carefully written book, and that Book of Judgement will be opened and all those who don't know him (including those moral non-believers) will be judged for their persecution against God's people...

And society 'disciplined' him.

Christianity and the Bible are no longer allowed to express their views in society.

Freedom of religion and freedom of speech is no longer legal in the United Kingdom of Sodom and Gomorrah.

I wonder when the fire and brimstone will come to Britain?

Jude :7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 .... The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe unto them!"

The authority institutions of Britain are declining, deteriorating today; - Government, police, law and order, health, education, marriage, family, morals, industry, defense, ...... not to mention 'church'

Perhaps this is the 'fire and brimstone' of modern times?

The spreading plague of Liberalism is reducing authority in the UK!
Perhaps Liberalism is a punishment of God.

Such an interesting time to be alive in, and witness to. The God of all that is, was, and will ever be; the Creator of all life, of man, is being phased out, and replaced by the new age of man, who knows best. God Almighty is under attack, His Word is being called, hate speech, and the progressive mindless are attempting to commit genocide against Him. Woe to them all. Quite the thing to behold, as end times prophesy unfolds before our very eyes.

Disagree with anything that was taboo, just a few short years ago, and you are attacked, singled out as a hate-filled, intolerant bigot, lose your career, and under threats of death. Sodom and Gomorrah is swiftly being resurrected, and actually, in a much more sinister way, I'd guess.

Always interesting how these same people talk about their faith, and even quote scripture. I think their worst crime is how they've forced their way into the public school system, and forced their agendas, confusion, and filthy ways on the children.
