Israel unveils ancient road ‘where Jesus walked’ to temple
Israel officially opened a stairway, known as "Pilgrim's Road," that Jesus is believed to have walked on in ancient Jerusalem as another place with the significance of "biblical proportions" to billions, especially for Judeo-Christian visitors to the Holy Land.

The City of David Foundation unveiled the 2,000-year-old main thoroughfare from Roman-era Jerusalem that it says served pilgrims ascending to the ancient Jewish Temple from the Pool of Siloam built by King Hezekiah. Until recently, it was hidden under a potato field and discovered by accident in 2004 after a pipe burst. ...

"The death this week of Solomon Tekah and the protests by the Ethiopian-Israeli community, which in numerous cases turned violent, have brought the status and situation of Ethiopian-Israelis within society into sharp focus."

Having been to Israel, the relationship btwn the Israelis and their Arab inhabitants is subject to who one asks. However, I do not believe that things are as bad as they are made out to be in the liberal press. Mostly, the press attempts to generalize the Palestinians who left to fight Israel with those who stayed.

Well, Timothy, no I doubt these Palestinians are not exactly lovey dovey towards Israelis. there certainly was a group of Palestinians who decided to stay in Israel in spite of the battles between Israelis in the countries around them. Supposedly, the Israelis we're supposed to treat them as equals.I have absolutely no doubt that the Israelis do a better job of that then the Muslims treat the Jews in Muslim countries. However, treating these Palestinians and Black Jews as absolute equals has not been achieved yet either. I would suggest you can go read the article since it does come from one of the major news sources in Israel. One that isn't hostile to the Israeli state ❗

Wow, that’s a real tear jerker, Jim. I’m sure the Palestinkians were all lovey-dovey towards the U.S. and Israel prior to this.

Some of the neighbors or people who are sitting on top of the tunnel, were surprisingly semi-sanguine about it.
J. Post wrote:
Never in their wildest dreams did the Arab residents of Silwan imagine that US President Donald Trump would send his Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt and US ambassador David Friedman to their neighborhood.

When the pair arrived on Sunday and helped crack open an archaeological tunnel, the residents’ cynicism toward Israel and America only grew....

However, the situation in Silwan, located southeast of the Old City of Jerusalem, has been calm during the week. Flowers are in bloom, and the streets are full of Arab and Jewish schoolchildren returning home. Jews and Arabs seem to coexist, though they mostly avoid interacting with one another.

The strong condemnations by PA officials do not seem to have impressed the residents of Silwan, many of whom said they lost confidence in the Ramallah-based leaders a long time ago. Even claims by local activists that the archaeological excavations in the City of David have caused damage to at least 16 houses have failed to instigate unrest in the neighborhood....

I would love, love, love, to visit Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the wailing wall, and all of the ancient sites; Mount of Olives, Golgotha, etc., etc. I understand that some sites, and presumed paths are subjective, but just to be where The Son of The Living God walked this Earth, visited, preached, and the same general paths that He probably walked at one time or another, along with being able to see much of what He actually looked at, etc., would be numero uno on my bucket list.

I'd like to plant my feet on the land where it all began, and the good news took root; where God chose to incarnate Himself in the man, Christ Jesus, introduce Himself, tell all of the good news he brings, and that He came to suffer and die so that we might be saved, and have life, life abundantly; life eternal.
Amen Christopher. Your post reminded me of a very recent 2 hour documentary headed up by David Suchet, concerning the birth, life and death of Simon Peter. Filmed entirely on location, he visited all the biblical places in association, and it was most fascinating and spiritually rewarding. Of course it was not evangelical, but still a great help in understanding scripture.

Great last paragraph btw.

Do our lives, our speech, and all we do, reflect that we are in Him, and He in us...that we are His? Sure, we can believe, have faith, and be filled with regret when we sin, but is it superficial, or do we yearn to serve Him, serve others, and truly strive to become like Him, no matter the personal cost? Do we allow our flesh to rule, or are we guided by our spirit, which wants to do what's good, and right, and holy? Are we slaves to pride and emotions, or true servants of The Most High?

An even greater discovery is that I can open my King James Bible and see where Jesus is walking at this very hour.
