‘Are You Ready to [Expletive] Party Tonight?’ Joel and Victoria Osteen Attend Lady Gaga Concert
Megachurch speaker and author Joel Osteen and his wife Victoria were among a number of celebrities, including drag queens, actors and music industry personalities, who attended the “SiriusXM and Pandora Present Lady Gaga at the Apollo” concert on Monday night in New York City. The two posed on the carpet for a photograph next to a SiriusXM/Pandora/Lady Gaga backdrop, which is posted online.

The Daily News reports that Germanotta “performed a selection of her most beloved hits dancing around, in a most homoerotic latex fantasy, dropping F-bombs and getting tips from the future by speaking to an ‘Avatar’-like Gaga figure.”

She also spoke of her advocacy for those who identify as homosexuals and transgenders, telling the crowd, “So, it’s Pride Week. I wish it could exist 365 days of the year, but I’ll take an [expletive] global week.” ...

For what it’s worth, I couldn’t agree more, Quite Christian. I read somewhere that his marriage is in trouble . I won’t speculate on here but this will not help for sure.Jesus never went with sinners to their places of sin, rather He brought them to repentance of their sins and put them on Calvary Road. The same road He traveled, the straight and narrow.

Every person is made in the image of God. Every person, except Jesus, inherited sin from Adam. Every person needs to come to saving faith in Jesus Christ and repent of his or her sins to properly address that sin and the punishment thereof.

By doing away with sin, the world is attempting to get rid of God. Everyone has sins for which he or she must repent and turn away from to turn to Christ. But to say that we have no sin makes God to be a liar (1 John 1:8).

The next question is who defines what is sin. The Lord alone has that authority and we do not have the authority to overturn His decrees. In fact, not one jot nor tittle of the Law will pass away, etc.

Mr. Osteen is stuck. He can't wash way the need for forgiveness through positivity and motivational speeches. And he can't be a witness to the world seeing as he is still a part of it.

Next thing we're likely to hear is of some major moral failing by Mr. Osteen. And if this is his crowd, demonic and drunk off their own sins, then stand by, it's not going to be suitable for discussion due to the lurid details.

Osteen drew criticism in 2013 when he told the Huffington Post that God accepts homosexuals without also mentioning the requirement of repentance.

“You say [in your book] … ‘It doesn’t matter who likes you or doesn’t like you; all that matters is that God likes you. He accepts you; He approves of you,” host Josh Zepps stated. “Is that true for gay men or true for homosexuals?”

“Absolutely,” Osteen replied. “I believe that God’s breathed His life into every person. We’re all on a journey. Nobody’s perfect.”

“The Bible says that sin is pride, sin is selfish ambition,” he continued. “We tend to pick on certain things, but I believe every person is made in the image of God, and you’ve got to accept them as they are as they’re on their journey.”

Mr Olsteen reminds me of Pope Francis' response to basically the same line of questioning: "Who am I to judge", and it was that very answer that the LGBTQ community ran with the very next day, to say the church was finally welcoming them with open arms.

Woe to them.

To explain quickly and concisely why this couple isn't Christian:
Got Questions wrote:
The basic doctrine of Joel Osteen, as summarized on his church’s website, is orthodox enough: the inerrancy and inspiration of the Bible, the triune nature of God, and salvation by faith in Christ are all affirmed. The doctrinal problems come in other areas.

Although Lakewood Church is non-denominational, Osteen’s teaching is rooted in Pentecostalism,
and he teaches that physical healing and wellness were provided in Christ’s atonement. “Jesus came that we might have a more abundant life. He came to carry our weaknesses, our sickness, our pain, so that we can walk in total freedom, peace, power and purpose” (from Lakewood Church’s official website).

Overarching all that Joel and Victoria Osteen teach is the prosperity gospel:
God’s will is that we be blessed with material things, a view that contradicts 1 Timothy 6:6....

More often than not, Osteen sounds like an inspirational life-coach, instead of a herald of the gospel....Noticeably absent in Osteen’s optimistic message is any mention of sin or repentance....

You have to understand "pride week." This is the time some people express pride that they call evil good and good evil. Certainly they should be proud of the disease that lifestyle choice spreads.

Amen, Wayfarer.

Jesus was known to eat with publicans to the extent it was noised about that He was a drunkard. But our Lord was witnessing to them and calling them out of their sins, not joining in. How Mr. Osteen can justify his and his wife's participation is beyond me, but certainly not on Biblical grounds. It's akin to a current practice amongst some churches to hold Bible studies at the bar while all participants in the study drink alcohol. There has always been a temptation to be of the world and of Christ at the same time. But the Lord is plain. One cannot serve two masters.

In my past career, I have worked with people who I knew were homosexuals, and probably still do. But, I don’t associate with them as if to socialize, anymore than to someone who drinks more often than not or is a womanizer or promiscuous. We are in the world but not of the world. Joel offers a ludicrous example of the gospel.
A recent transvestite library reading for children showed at least 3 of the 5 transvestites were registered sex offenders. Fraternizing with bad people promotes bad morals.
The Bethel worship glitter parties must be bummed.
