'Hail Satan' opening prayer at Alaska government meeting
Several attendees at a government meeting open to the public in Alaska walked out in protest after an opening prayer praised Satan.

The Associated Press reports the prayer, where a woman declared “Hail Satan,” was given by Satanic Temple member Iris Fontana, who won the right to open the meeting with an invocation of her choice.

Welcome to Freedom of Religion, instead of the Crown Rights of Christ.

We live in an atheistic nation that tolerates any kind of blasphemy. This should not be shocking to anyone.

Sure has. Evil is nothing new, but there's something different. People seem colder, more callous, and more capable of things that most could never even imagine, like they're void of any sort of natural, God-given empathy.

Yes, sometimes a child is rescued, and thank God for that, but so many suffer horrific abuse, and nobody knows about it until the child's body just gives up, or they're murdered, outright by the scary monsters that their little eyes look helplessly up at. Then, there are the countless children who go missing, never to be seen or heard from again. I support, and when I scan through the dates missing, they range from a week, to decades. I can't begin to imagine a parents emotional turmoil, and never having any sort of closure as they cling to hope every day of their lives, praying for good news.

Like you said though, thank God for the ones rescued, and lives saved. I just can't imagine what's missing within someone that makes them capable of harming a child.
Many are Godless, but still incapable, so it's something than runs deeper...something else that's missing. Imagine the things that God sees every day...

Heartbreaking,Christopher. Such accounts are very frequent. However, sometimes there are encouraging outcomes. Keep praying! One such account involved a little girl who was being abused at a restaurant where her dad was cramming food down her throat. But in God's providence there was a lady who, discreetly, aimed her phone at the scene and videotaped it and called 911 after the people had left the restaurant. The police soon caught up with them at their house.
Another incident involved a little boy who was put out in the cold garage and was being shot at with a bb gun by his mom's boyfriend. The cries were heard by someone passing by after the boy was left in the garage.
These rescues are always so good to hear...answered prayer.
Pray that God will prevent and expose those who do such and pray for healing and comfort for those who have been victims.
This country of ours has changed radically and any Christian who has their heads in the clouds needs to wake up.
These are sobering times and much is at stake.
A reality check helps to put things into perspective.

1Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

1 John 3:8
Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Speaking of Satan, here's a reminder of his activity all around us, and the level of depravity and pure evil that mankind is capable of:

A Pennsylvania mother and her live-in boyfriend became enraged when her 4yr old son spilled his cereal while eating breakfast. They grabbed him, and beat the little boy half to death, then, picked up his limp little body, threw him into the tub, like a price of worthless trash, and turned the shower on with scalding hot water. The little boy died horribly that day in the tub, because he spilled his cereal.

So, that must be their chant. I had left a tract in the laundry room and someone had written that on it along with their pointy emblem.
...just kinda wondering why they just don't say "hell" instead of "hail".
Don't they believe in hell?

This is where a creed, or at least laying down a foundation not to be breached would have prevented this. Women are prone to this sort of thing and have to be watched very carefully. She was given an opportunity and took it with open arms. If that assembly now has a problem with visiting spirits, they only have themselves to blame.
