Texas Governor Signs Bill to Protect Babies Born Alive During Abortions
On Friday, Texas became the latest state to provide protections to infants who survive abortions, the Texas Tribune reports.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed into law House Bill 16, which requires abortion practitioners to provide basic medical care to infants who survive abortions. Our own Rhode Island Governor, Gina Raimondo, just signed an extreme abortion law onto the books, murder up until the moment of delivery, as one of the changes. My body, my choice, blah, blah, blah...a human baby in the womb has no constitutional rights, and neither does a father, for that matter.
Here is a statement from a Rhode Island Democrat who voted in favor of the bill:
"However, Sen. Sandra Cano, a Pawtucket Democrat who's pregnant, said she can't impose her faith through the legislative process so she supported the bill."
"Who cares what God Himself has to say...this is about women's rights", is basically what Cano was saying.
