Sweeping plans from 2020 contenders come with trillion-dollar price tags
The Democratic presidential contenders are ready to break the bank with expensive policy proposals that would add trillions of dollars to the deficit if enacted.

The 2020 hopefuls are angling to one-up each other with big policy ideas that would overhaul the U.S. health care system, address climate change and provide free college tuition or erase student debt.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s “Global Climate Mobilization” plan, hailed by environmental activists as the gold standard, would cost the U.S. government $3 trillion over the next decade. ...

Here you go Jim

“It’s a deal worse than even we imagined possible,” said Weekly Standard editor William Kristol. “It’s a deal that gives the Iranian regime $140 billion in return for … effectively nothing: no dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear program, no anytime/anywhere inspections, no curbs on Iran’s ballistic missile program, no maintenance of the arms embargo, no halt to Iran’s sponsorship of terror.”

Michael Rubin, a former Pentagon official
"There’s no reason it needed to be paid now. After all, successive administrations..., have delayed payments so as to avoid funding Iranian terrorism," Rubin said. "Likewise, if the United States freezes accounts linked to al Qaeda or Hamas, releasing it and saying, ‘It’s their money anyway,’ would not be a tenable explanation.."

The Iranians have been clear that they "perceived the payment to be a ransom" despite the administration’s protestations, Rubin explained. "Not only has the delivery of the millions of dollars been perceived as a ransom, provided as an incentive to seize more hostages …. but because the money was delivered in cash the payment bolstered the strength of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and augmented its ability to finance and conduct terrorism," he said

UPS, it was Iranian money in American Banks Obama just returned it, to encourage them to sign the nuclear treaty, which all the rest of the signees still support. Was it the best treaty that could be had? Probably not, should China be persuaded to give up some of its industrial spying? Certainly, though taxing Americans through tarriffs is incredibly ignorant ❗👎
https://tinyurl.com/y5aqk8nd (Larry Kudlow once said Trump's proposed trade policies 'will pose incalculable damage' to US economy)---He was right, then but not since he joined the Trump administration.

Alh well to paraphrase, perhaps, Senator Everett Dirksen
'A trillion here and a trillion there, and soon you are talking about real money.'

Hi JT,

Yes, a relatively small minority, although, growing steadily with all of the trans nonsense going on. A minority with big mouths, but the problem is that they have a lot of mouths supporting, promoting, and furthering their agenda, so a relatively small group, appears a whole lot larger with all of the mouths fighting for, and enforcing their "rights" and agenda to infect every crack and crevice of this nation.

""Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s “Global Climate Mobilization” plan, hailed by environmental activists as the gold standard, would cost the U.S. government $3 trillion over the next decade""

I thought 'Global Warming' had been cancelled by common sense???

Three trillion dollars for a myth is not only exorbitant it is madness.

Are the Democrats mad???

Who would vote for this?

I guess if there was any doubt as to the liberal mindset on this topic, it was made real clear that day. Who would have ever thought that Americans, en masse, would beg for a socialistic country, and full government control; effectively turning this nation into a police state. The Washington liberals are frothing at the mouth for such an opportunity, because there won't be any turning back after its done, just like when the sodomites were allowed out of their closets. Look at them now...they're a major force to be reckoned with, and there's no turning back.
No major force, just a small minority with big mouths, and with illusion-making media support, whether socialism or the rainbow-minus-one-color crowd. Remember all the manufactured polls of 2016. More of the same is here and coming, Christopher.

It's well-known that the infrastructure should be fixed, but as we have seen this trillion-dollar plan didn't get very far either.
Obama sent 1.7 billion in cash to our enemy, Iran

Obam took billions that should have gone to infrastructure and used it to pay off political cronies who in turn sent money to the DNC

Jim from Lincoln posts complaining about it

"The best possible sweeping plans for 2020 would be to sweep the socialist democrat loony tunes out of office."

Interestingly, just yesterday, I listened to a clip of a 2020 Democratic candidate speaking to an auditorium packed with his supporters. I didn't catch who the man was, but after making the comment, "This country needs to be taken in a different direction, but socialism isn't the answer. You would think the guy had just burned an American flag on stage with the way that the crowd that was there to support him, reacted. Every one of them began to boo, loudly, and it went on for several minutes as he continued to try and speak. I guess if there was any doubt as to the liberal mindset on this topic, it was made real clear that day.
