NKorea says talks won’t resume unless US changes position
North Korea said Friday that nuclear negotiations with the United States will never resume unless the Trump administration moves away from what Pyongyang described as unilateral demands for disarmament.

The statement by an unnamed North Korean foreign ministry spokesman published in state media was the country’s latest expression of displeasure over the stalled negotiations as it continues to press Washington to soften its stance on enforcing sanctions against the North’s crippled economy.

It came as President Donald Trump prepares to travel to Japan this weekend for a summit with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in which the North Korean nuclear issue will likely be high on the agenda. ...

Speaking of Vietnam, what could be more immoral than telling the soldiers they were fighting for freedom, when they were fighting for no such thing? To fight for double digit years with no goal to end it is as sickening a policy as this nation has ever had. It wasn't fear of nuclear war that prevented bombing of Haiphong Harbor or the railroad line coming down from the north with endless supplies for the NVA and the VC. Someone profits from stalemate war. If we aren't willing to fight for a purpose, and to a conclusion, we shouldn't be in it. Young life is too precious to waste it fighting politician-led wars. It cost 50000+ American lives, and then we left it for the enemy.

Interesting thing, Frank, is that China and Vietnam have a centuries old ethnic conflict. China invaded VN after our war. But we didn't want the war to expand and go thermonuclear...

Somehow all this fits with the Lord's Providence for this world. It amazes me how patient He is with it and us. He sustains this world while it thumbs its collective nose at Him, a tiny spider in the hand of an angry God above a blazing fire. But of all things, His patience is not infinite. Some day it will run out.

Should someone tell Kim that 5 North Koreas would fit within Texas?

Kim got on the map because of his cruelty and his nuclear weapons. No country can be a player in the community of nations without nuclear weapons or perhaps being allies with someone who does have them. Now, Kim doesn’t care at all for his countrymen and women. Death by starvation or in concentration camps is his mind is simply them serving a greater good – him.

He is extremely wealthy; a couple of internet sites noted his personal wealth at 5 billion. Any sanctions that are imposed only hurt the poor peasants who live there.

All he is trying to do is show his citizens that he has some clout in the world. I mean look at how significant his meetings were with the U.S. president.

Unless Kim is mentally deficient, war with the U.S. or any of its allies would result in a total destruction of his regime within hours and the death of millions of our allies. He surely knows that, and his game is not suicide.

China is the biggest detriment we have to peace in that region. They were also the biggest reason we never invaded North VN.

He thinks he is cool, but God’s wrath is waiting for him.

I do not approve of the way that Kim Jong-un runs North Korea. But can we blame him for not wanting to suffer the same fate as Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi? Hey, weren't they once buddy buddy with the White House? What happened? Oh yea, they had made plans to buy and sell oil using something other than the "almighty" dollar. Also, ask the average North Korean if they want their country to experience what countries like Siria, Libya, Afghanistan, Yeman, Iraq ,etc.. have had to go through. All in the name of democracy of course. One final thing, Kim Jong knows that on capital hill, it's not President Trump calling the shots. It's people like Bolton and Pompeo.

Surprise, surprise, surprise ❗

I would also point out, things won't improve until North Korea's master, China is happier with the United States.
