Alabama House Passes Measure that Will Forbid Nearly All Abortions
The Alabama House voted this week to pass a measure that would forbid nearly all abortions in the state.
According to CBN News, the bill, Human Life Protection Act, would make it a Class A felony to perform an abortion at any stage in pregnancy. Punishment could range from 10 to 99 years in prison.
"When a woman is pregnant, an abortion is no longer legal," said Republican Rep. Terri Collins, the House bill's sponsor.
