Next LGBT wedding-cake trial scheduled
A California court has set a trial date in a case brought by two lesbians against a cake baker whose claims the women were searching for a lawsuit, not a wedding cake, when they came to her shop.

Superior Court Judge David Lampe on Monday scheduled Christian baker Cathy Miller’s trial for June 22.

The state Department for Fair Employment & Housing sued Miller in October 2018 on behalf of the same-sex couple.

It is the second lawsuit by the state regarding the incident. The previous case ended when a judge declared Miller’s actions were protected by the First Amendment. The state refused to appeal, and, despite the judge’s conclusion, filed a second lawsuit. ...

Ah! Others have noticed this rather queer "ulterior motive" too. đź‘Ś

Amen Fellow Pilgrim. Like you, I am also a stranger and a pilgrim, and I really wish I deserved those titles. Maybe one day.....

Oh, you think Europe is secular? How about this, then. I've lived in Europe for over sixty years, and I'm still waiting for the day when a Christian offers me a tract as I walk down the road. I don't think the word secular is really strong enough.

Pilgrim John

I remember years ago reading a book about William Carey and I remember the wife and son being mentioned. Since I never throw anything away, I looked on my bookshelf, but couldn’t find it. He certainly was a man of conviction.

My guess is most of Europe has become so liberal that the issue of cakes, etc., being made doesn’t occur? The below verses have always been so amazing to me; especially verse 38. The world was not “worthy” of them; not the other way around.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

38 (Of whom the world was not worthy they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

Yes brother, I pray the same thing will happen.
This is so easy for an old man to comment on rather than someone who is in the workforce. IOW, what would any of us do, if our livelihood was on the line in these situations? I sometimes think of all the millions of Christian martyrs that have lived and given not only their livelihoods up for the gospel, but their lives and families as well.
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Of course, scripture would say this was a test of our loyalties and I’m sure most of us would do the right thing and say: NO.
Does the same type of things happen where you live?
I've not heard of it locally bro, but then I don't read newspapers normally.

Your post reminded me of William Carey who lost his first wife to illness, and later on one of his young sons, also to illness, after he moved to India under obedience to the Lord, as a Reformed Baptist missionary.

I like Acts 5:29
