Spain's Socialists on course to regain power
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez looks set to regain power after his Socialists overcame a historic challenge by right-wing nationalists in elections on Sunday, a result he portrayed as a morale booster for the European Union.

The Socialists gained seats in one of Spain’s most hotly contested elections in decades, which featured the rise of far-right party Vox whose ultra-nationalist campaign echoed political trends across Europe where traditional parties have ceded to anti-immigration and eurosceptic forces. ...

Doesn't Anne Applebaum write for the Washington Post? Isn't she opposed to an independent Britain? Are you a globalist, Jim?

The Vox party is clearly far right. but then people are apparently saying that is in the eye of the beholder.

The European far right has now found a set of issues it can unite around. Opposition to immigration, especially Muslim immigration, is one of them; promotion of a socially conservative worldview is another. To put it differently, dislike of same-sex civil unions or African taxi drivers is something that even Austrians and Italians who disagree about the location of their border can share.... [ ]

Americans will recognize these types of sites: They function not unlike Infowars, Breitbart, the infamous partisan sites that operated from Macedonia during the U.S. presidential campaign or, indeed, the Facebook pages created by Russian military intelligence, all of which produced hypercharged, conspiratorial, partisan news and outraged headlines that could then be pumped into hypercharged, conspiratorial echo chambers....

Breitbart is controlled/owned by Steve Bannon. a Catholic and an anti-Christian if there ever was one âť—

But as I have often pointed out--

I am not Spanish, have never been to Spain, nor have Spanish friends or relatives; but I have followed some on this Voz party in Spain, and I can say that it is not "far-right" as our liberal media claims. It is one last, desperate chance of stopping the migrant waves of Muslims from utterly destroying Spain.

It is difficult to draw any lessons from this news that would apply to the US or to any other country. "All politics is local" and we have 0 knowledge of all the factors involved in Spain. One little item I hear is that there are many more Muslims there. They have the annoying 5am call to prayer broadcast in the towns (so forget about a quiet, comfortable retirement in Spain, unless you are deaf or like to get up at 5am to go out running)

""far-right party Vox whose ultra-nationalist campaign echoed political trends across Europe where traditional parties have ceded to anti-immigration and eurosceptic forces.""

The people have spoken???

Sadly the Leftist Socialism, communism, and Liberalism are all 'isms' of Satan.

But one thing becomes clear in European countries (including the UK) that the proletariat are rejecting many traditional political party lines.

But in one way this is problematic since the ostensibly Liberalist modern generation is rejecting all traditional authorities. The end result is confusion verging upon apathy and anarchy.

The end is significantly nigh!!

2Tim 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
