Pennsylvania Democrats: Allah is fine, Jesus is not
Nearly 318 years later, that fundamental bedrock of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has all but crumbled. And the statehouse has now become a place where those who profess Jesus Christ face public rebuke.

In March, State Rep. Stephanie Borowicz was invited to deliver a prayer at the beginning of the legislative day. Mrs. Borowicz, a freshman lawmaker and the wife of a Christian minister, gladly accepted the invitation.

By chance, the state’s first female Muslim lawmaker was scheduled to be sworn into office on the same day. There were many Muslim visitors in attendance. Also on the agenda was a prayer that was delivered by a Muslim cleric.

But it was Mrs. Borowicz’s prayer that made national headlines when she invoked the name of Jesus Christ numerous times. ...

Psalm 74:22 Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.
23 Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually."

Dear Brother Frank. Of course everything is OK between us. She absolutely shouldn't be in a pulpit. We agree here but really are talking past one another.

Here's my problem. Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Only those who's hands are clean, right? But my hands are not clean. None are righteous, no not one. And cetainly not me. I need Jesus' effectually covering every moment. So why should the Lord hear my prayer, or yours, or any of us? All of us are a work in progress. And this legislator *may* be one who is a work in progress. Is it right that she is a legislator? That debate has been hashed out below. I'm just glad someone prayed. At least someone showed up. And if we men aren't ashamed enough by this demonstration to step forward as witnesses in this crooked and wicked generation, then what will it take?

This situation is a judgment, Frank, on us. Next thing you'll hear are the rocks crying out.

QC!

I have never hinted even remotely that a woman should not pray publicly when it is appropriate. What I was saying is this lady is a feminist and proves that by choosing a role that God say no to. So, IMO, her prayer was a abomination in God's eyes and would simply strengthen the feminist movement that has taken over our country. Just look at this thread and it is easy to see her purpose was accomplished.

I doubt you would say that it would be okay if she was a pastor of a church and prayed publicly. I am also not gullible enough to believe that there is “anything” we can do to undo this movement, but I am one who will speak out regardless of the popularity vote. And as you have probably noticed, it doesn’t make me very popular.

Thanks for the explanation and kindness and I am sorry if I misunderstood you. All is good between us.

Frank, the piece I read indicated that this woman prayed and used the name "Jesus" and mentioned everyone's need for forgiveness through Jesus. I don't know what else this particular woman stands for or doesn't stand for. All I know is that I need Jesus and His covering and advocacy every secnd.

It reminds me of the statement/demand by the Pharisees to silence Jesus' disciples as He entered Jerusalem triumphantly. Jesus said that if they ceased, the rocks woukd cry out. Jesus will be proclaimed. If men will not do it, women are next in line. Not saying anything about gender roles and my comments are strictly limited to a woman praying in public. I am not commenting on whether or not she should have been there. I'm not a resident of the Keystone State and this woman is not my representative.

The Lord does not need us to take action for His Gospel to go forth. But we have the option to be part of the plan or be an impediment to it. Let's together choose to be a part of His communication so that others need not take our place. That's my point.

So your saying that a woman can act like a feminist and sometimes simply blame the men? That is exactly what a feminist does; blame men for all their problems. Now clearly a woman being a "political leader" is either right or wrong; not maybe right or wrong. I can assure you she didn't enter into our government because they didn't have enough to live on. No, as Douglas Fir's verse notes it was a curse from God. See if the below fits into this scenario.

Romans 3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

I guess all bets are off when we are living in a country under the curse of Isaiah 3:12, where women and children rule. Next stop coming up: legalize drinking and smoking cigarettes for kids age 12 and up. No more school--just play video games all day, sing and dance at night.
Oh, by the way, let me wish you a "Happy Easter" (in accordance with Acts 12:4 of the King's Version)

You're right Christopher. I saw your post without reading Frank's as I noticed Frank was getting himself worked up in a lather again and I wasn't going to read it, but did afterwards. Frank dug it up and you commented on it without the context of the full thread. I guess Frank has time to dig up old posts for you to comment on. One poster who for some reason started emailing Frank and shared her experience and take on Frank. I could have told her what she posted and I have never emailed him. Frank has a wife to lead and disciple. That is the only woman he has a God given authority to do so. If he has minor children under his roof then he is to lead them too. Not me or any other woman or minor. He is not anointed by God to teach us ladies on feminism.

Seems to me that this is more about constitutional rights, and a progressive union, rather than why Christ allowed His blood to be shed. The comment brings Christ's sacrifice into focus as the catalyst for girl power, and women's rights? I've never heard of this.
Thanks Chris! I probably shouldn't have engaged her? Anyway, she did actually say what I posted. I can even give the date. How someone can believe something like that and then say they are in the faith is a mystery.

There are very few posters that praise God more than me on these threads, so for her to try and play psychic was her only chance.

Frank, you seem to be troubled and very unhappy. I hope that whatever is in your life or life experience that is robbing you of joy in Christ and retirement you will have victory over it. Blessings.

Christianity has brought dignity to women. God even in the old testament. Have you not read about the two sisters who had no brother or husbands who wanted to claim their property and God said they had a right to it. The men questioned it. Ester, Jael, Deborah are examples of courageous women whom God used in mighty says and yet maintained their femininity. Check your scriptures and western civilization and see that women have been treated with more dignity and respect than any nation. Why? Because of Judeo-Christian values. Nice to see you digged up an old post of mine. Too bad you didn't understand it. Z

Like some who post here they get all emotional and triggered by certain topics and then start getting goofy. Just read my post again and then Frank's. He starts talking about abortion and homosexuality. Totally missed what I said.
No Allie, what I was saying is abortion is a sin, homosexuality is a sin and feminism is a sin. You implied that if someone’s husband wants their wife to be a feminist, then it is okay. Yes, you do get goofy. Yes, l admit that I am weird, for keeping things like this, but here is one of your earlier posts which pretty much sums up your thoughts.

“Christ brought dignity and honor to women and children. Because of Him women have flourished. I can vote, own property, testify in court, work to support myself, get educated.”

If you think the above is true, then you are a feminist. You can say I am on my soapbox again or my “feminist horse” all you want to,it doesn't matter.

Titus does speak to women being keepers of the home. Women are to be silent in church and not teach or hold authority. In Corinthians women prayed in church and prophesied. Well Allie, let me just say it this way. If a woman’s husband, pastor, father, brother or anyone else convinces her that a feminist role is proper, then they are just as guilty if not more than she is. She is responsible herself unto the Lord as to how she conducts her life.

A government political position is never appropriate for a woman regardless of her circumstances. There are circumstances when a woman must work outside the home, but not as a political leader.

If a woman can earn 5 times what her husband can, she should stay home (if possible) and he should be the provider.

Would you also say a woman’s husband, pastor, etc. can tell her it’s okay to get an abortion? Or how about they tell her it is okay to support homosexuality? Of course you wouldn’t. Abortion is a sin and the feminist movement is a sin.

I wouldn't contact the pastor or her as they are being persecuted enough by unbelievers for the prayer. I agree she should be at home if she has underaged kids, but wisdom is needed. They are publicly being attacked by the enemy don't pile on her. Married women who work outside the home is the business of the couple. Just cause a married mother has a job doesn't mean she is a feminist. You would have to know the couple and why she works. I have a friend from a poor family who worked for a time after she and her husband had their first child to pay off her student loans. She quit after they were paid off. I know another woman married to an unbeliever who insisted she work full time and get childcare. She didnt want to leave her kids and cried. She she have told him to get a life and not work? I think he is the "feminist". What this Rep did was very bold and courageous. She as a woman stood up and men tried to shut her down. If you want to email someone maybe you should email her creepy male colleague who tried to stop the prayer and the Governor. Email Mrs. Johnson-Harrell with the good news of the gospel.

While I don’t agree with John Yurich that the Republican Party is “the party of Jesus Christ,” I wouldn’t argue for one second with someone who states that the Democratic Party is the party of Satan. Their agenda and his are congruent in every aspect. Murder, uncleanness, perversion, falsehood, wickedness of every kind—if Satan is the manufacturer, the Dems are the purveyors of it.
