Put A Ring On It: Married People Less Likely To Suffer From Heart Disease, Stroke
The grass may be greenest on the hitched side, after all. Recent research finds that being married may help prevent heart disease and stroke, as well as the associated risk of death.

Studies have shown that 80 percent of cardiovascular disease cases are attributed to several widely-accepted risk factors: age, gender, high blood pressure, smoking, and diabetes. The international team of researchers behind this latest work sought to determine which risk factors cause the other 20 percent. Previous research into marital status has yielded mixed results. ...

I think that considering only currently married people is an error.
They should include divorced people because they were also married.

Thus, the 'universe' they need to draw from includes them if they want to determine if Marriage is some kind of Panacea to Cure All Ills.

Once they include divorced people, they will find the numbers not so good for Marriage in General.

They need to include victims of marital abuse, whether men beating their wives (makes you think of that classic question: have you stopped beating your wife? or the Italian proverb, a wife and polenta are similar--they both need to be beaten!), or wives beating up on their husbands, or even murders of each other, whether the classic Italian-divorce style or just 'crimes of passion'.

Then they will see that marriage is not the Happy Panacea for all ills.

Compare this human wreckage with the
single-never married category and you will find the latter winning the day.

The Liberalist reprobates consider marriage as unnecessary and live in sin.

God established marriage in the first instance therefore it will be the healthy option by providence. The couples who do not get married are punished with cardio problems because of their sinful lifestyle.

I wonder what the stats are on how God punishes the sodomite sinners who pervert marriage?

I didn't read the article.

Of course, I don’t believe anyone should get married and make a lifetime commitment so they can live longer and healthier lives. They should get married because God has said they should and they should raise kids if possible because our heavenly Father has told us to. They are to become one flesh. IMO, the family is the backbone of God’s creation and everything flows from that. Destroy marriage and society will simply break down. Just look at what we are experiencing now in the U.S.
