Senator Kamala Harris Takes Aim at Vice President Pence for Following ‘Billy Graham Rule’
Women who have worked with Vice President Mike Pence are defending him after Democratic Senator and Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris attacked him over his stance on LGBT issues and for refusing to meet one on one with any woman other than his wife. Her comments came during an appearance on MSNBC in which Peter Alexander asked her what she thought about Senator Elizabeth Warren’s statement that Mike Pence is not an honorable man.

I disagree with most of what the Vice President stands for when he makes decisions about our LGBTQ community in a way that doesn’t understand that they should be entitled to full equality and all rights under the law as any other American,” she said. Then she added, “I disagree with him when he suggests that it’s not possible to have meetings alone with women by himself. I think that’s ridiculous, the idea that you would deny a professional woman the opportunity to have ...

Sure there is judgment but even Habakkuk cried in wrath remember mercy. Look at it this way, then men of Nineveh didn't have to pray for wrath, God planned it for them for their unrighteousness, they did however need to cry out for mercy, which He gracefully extended. The book of Judges is replete with judgment by God for the sins of the people yet He was merciful to their unrighteousness when they turned again to Him. We pray that God would grant repentance and faith to the unregenerate that both saved and unsaved would confess and forsake sin that they might find mercy. Even the verse you referenced is a mercy from God because He set it as an example to be avoided.

Maybe we can put it this way, not every blessing from God is mercy per se (although any blessing from Him is merciful) but every mercy is a blessing.

A nation whose God is Lord does not continue to kill babies or encourage sexual immorality.

So when a Christian is praying that God would bless America with mercy or revival then you are saying that they are asking God to bless the wickedness that is practiced in the land? Would it not be mercy for God to send revival? Would it not be mercy for God to save sinners? Are not more Christians a blessing to the country? Is it not a blessing to see some states restrict baby killing in our land? Can we only live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty in our land only by the blessing of God upon it for His people? This should be our prayer according to the Scripture . Is not asking God to bless America a request to see sinful actions thwarted and no longer tolerated or practiced?

Just who do you think it is that is asking God to bless immorality, someone here? When David asked for God's blessing was everyone is Israel being obedient to the God's Word? This is a Christian forum, only the unregenerate would ask God to bless sin and wickedness.

Just for the record, no matter what God does, He owes apologies to no one. (Genesis 18:25)

Have mercy AND bless.

Following 67:1

1 (To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song.) God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

Mercy is with holding what we deserve, however,
God cannot, ultimately, judge a nation righteously if a nation continues in abominable sin. If He could, as the saying goes, then He would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

Psalm 33:12

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

A nation whose God is Lord does not continue to kill babies or encourage sexual immorality.

a little confused here. How is God being merciful to us not a blessing?

Psalm 67:1

God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify this.

Chris G P, I usually agree with most of your comments and I respect them but I am a little confused as to how one who professes to be Christian such as (Pence), who came out of the RC church, can yet attend mass, RC prayer breakfasts, and give honor to it and still be born again.
I understand that one may in ignorance or if they are very naive which would probably not be in the case of Pence.
Of course, we need all of the bones thrown to us that we can get in this country no matter the source.
We have been programmed into thinking that we have a "savior" in leadership who loves God. And, of course, there have to be the bad guys and the good guys all the while the country sinks.
We think that God should bless us when we should be asking God rather to have mercy on us.

Of course she thinks it's ridiculous if other men in office held that view she wouldn't have been Mr. Willie Brown's mistress. Professional women like herself wouldn't have had the opportunity to advance themselves in the manner in which she did. Don't forget she was the CA Atty Gen who went after David Dalaiden with a nasty and passionate vengeance. Women of her ilk foam at the mouth with rage at the thought of abortion being jeopardized.

A person who has no character usually is hostile towards those who do. If she is the nominee, look no further than the men who are president or who have been president that led the way for a woman with no morals to be nominated.

You are correct John Yurich, but the fact of the matter is that that "Baptist" church is not a Baptist church at all but a bogus "Baptist" church of whom the glory of the Lord has departed and is an den of lions & wolves.

Also, I might add, that no true Baptist pastor would EVER let a member hold such views as Harris to remain in that church.

Has anyone told her that if President Trump is impeached (the dream of Democrats and their friends in the media) and removed from office (a very rare deed since the Senate, controlled by the President's own party, has to approve it), then Vice President Pence will become President, and the Democrats will have raised up more support in 2020 for their opposition. It would get people involved in politics that have never paid much attention, and not even their usual ballot-stuffing (see example of rental car in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida airport for a recent case), can help them.

Harris claims to be a saved Baptist but that is bogus because she is a Democrat who supports abortion and homosexuality and every other perversion under the sun. Her Baptist Pastor should tell her to either fall in line with Baptist teaching and be against abortion, homosexuality and every other perversion under the sun or be kicked out of that Baptist Church.

I am not able to comment on the life of this Democratic Presidential Candidate, Senator Kamala Harris, except to day that her opposition to Vice President Pence is obviously politically and personally motivated.

I think also that the Democrats and socialist leftists are absolutely scared stiff of VP Pence, because unlike President Trump, he is a very discreet and balanced man, and a very forthright evangelical man, who is very firmly against things like abortion.

As to his moral stance, very wisely he avoids any appearance of evil, by always insisting his wife or a male third party are with him, whenever he has to be in the presence of a woman, who is not his wife or a close blood relative. This is extremely wise, particularly in these days of the #MeToo movement, and also the possibility of false accusations, and in fact of lying leftist biased media and internet cameras, with doctored pictures. The Bible not only commands us to avoid the appearance of evil, but also to be as wise as serpents, and as innocent as doves.

When a man doesn't meet one on one with a woman (other than his wife), that means the possibility of an affair is very, very small.

Harris' and Brown's affair is part and parcel of the Progressive plank regarding sexual activity between any two consenting individuals - anyone, anywhere, and at any time and without unwanted consequences.

Yeah, with Willie Brown, San Francisco's Mayor. She was a prosecutor back then, but the benefits of being Willie's illicit girlfriend, was his appointing her to a couple of different commissions that gave her the political boost she needed to climb up the ladder to become a Senator 20yrs later. I'm only mentioning it, because she's another one who speaks as if her life's conscience is perfectly clear, while she does nothing but point fingers, and accuse any conservative she can, of any wrongdoing, while remaining silent on anyone within her own party.

Kamala Harris; Nartives are a good reminder, how the unregenerate, is in hostility against Christ. That one can’t live in their own consistency
of their own fallen Worldview, they are subscribing too. Without borrowing & highjacking from a Christian World view. As Christ is the only absolute Author of all Truth, as reasoning, & other means of ethics, & morality. Can’t be accounted for by false worldviews, Islam, Atheism, Materialism,Socialism. & anything else under the Sun! As it doesn’t matter how many people agree with you, if Christ is against one, as their FOE!.

As all who are out side of Christ have a broken relationship with Him!

Pro 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom & instruction.

Jim, your false claims of dominionism or theonomy as a driving motivating factor are based on nothing but propaganda. The Progressives, like Harris, want to impose their vile mindset on the rest of America. Conservatives typically want to hold off evil. Christians only want to see people come to Christ, which has a secondary impact of holding off evil through what some of us term "repentance unto life." You have become deluded in your thinking, Jim. We are not the Nazis. The Progressives, by definition, are Nazis.
