Azusa Pacific Drops Ban on Same-Sex Student Relationships, Again
Azusa Pacific University (APU) has gone back and forth this school year on whether to allow students to date members of the same sex.

Last week, the Southern California Christian college decided, once again, to remove a ban on “romanticized” same-sex relationships from its code of student conduct.

APU had initially made the same change in the fall, only to reverse the decision when its board of trustees said it had never approved the change.

“APU is an open-enrollment institution, which does not require students to be Christian to attend, and the handbook conveys our commitment to treating everyone with Christ-like care and civility,” stated APU provost Mark Stanton. “Our values are unchanged, and the APU community remains unequivocally biblical in our Christian evangelical identity.” ...

"Our values are unchanged,".

Actually, that's a lie. Since they have changed several time un this school year pointed out in the freaking ARTICLE!!! 😅😬

"Azusa Pacific University (APU) has gone back and forth this school year on whether to allow students to date members of the same sex."

"APU had initially made the same change in the fall, only to reverse the decision when its board of trustees said it had never approved the change."

To call this institution "Christian", is disturbing, disgusting, and most of all, BLASPHEMOUS!

The college accepts homosexuality, but says it’s still firmly committed to Christian values. I know I’m just an old country boy, but don’t hand me a plateful of horse hockey and tell me it’s biscuits.

Amen, Wayfarer. There is a difference between raising children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and being a witness to those kids who were not raised in that manner or chose the broad, easy path rather than the straight and narrow. It seems to me that APU has chosen to use the second purpose rather than the first as its excuse for bending to the press of the day. But it is difficult to even be a witness when one tacitly condones that which is denied to be right, for then that person seems very much double minded. Christ-like care included calling out the scribes and Pharisees for their sin and running the money changers out of the Temple.

The Lord led me by the hand to Himself, but He showed me that I was not good enough and needed His righteousness. That actaul care by the Holy Spirit included telling me that I was wrong and where I was wrong, often through the pages of the Bible as well as from preachers I heard on Sunday or the radio. I'm grateful the Lord led me to see that I was not OK. Why is it then wrong for APU to say that its students are wrong to follow unbiblical relationships and lifestyles?

When the bond creditors lower your rating to junk, it’s time to shut down and sell.
My question is how is a Christian college come up with the idea they are promoting sexual stewardship? I mean, how about no , not before marriage between a responsible man and woman, especially one being educated at our “ Christian “ college. I am old enough to have been at a dormitory that had a married couple with a baby who checked our rooms for filth, women , drink and dope. If they found evidence, you had a show trial and had to promise to be more secretive.
