CONFERENCE IS OVER. UPLOADS COMING SOON.We are very much looking forward to having you join us in New York City Dec 19-20, 2019 for The Foundations Conference. We are praying a great deal for God's special blessing to be upon us all as we gather together for the third time to focus our hearts and attention on the matters of prayer and preaching.
Please note this conference will not be live-streamed.
You can now view a portion of the conference booklet that will be printed. Inside, you will find the final schedule as well as a map with some helpful points of interest in NYC.

The church is distracted.
With all that is happening in our fast-paced society, the temptation for the church is to become sidetracked with fighting individual, secondary issues.

When the apostles in the first century church faced mounting perplexities and distractions in the work they found it necessary to give themselves continually to prayer and the ministry of the word (Acts 6:4). We believe there is a need to return to these same foundations of ministry in our generation.

Diversions and devices.
Have you noticed? Smart phones, social media, and the media generally have all contributed to making it difficult to “give ourselves” in time, energy, and attention to any given task. Meditating on God's Word has become a lost art. Closing the door of our prayer closets to shut out the world has also become increasingly difficult. In light of this challenge, our hope and prayer is that we will be able to direct our attention this year on preaching and prayer, but with a special emphasis on “giving ourselves” whole-heartedly to these pursuits.
It is said that Hollywood is the center of the entertainment world, but New York City is the center of the media and mass communication world. The nations of the world are all represented in this city both by its inhabitants and by its visitors. D. L. Moody once said that “Cities are the centers of influence. Water runs downhill, and the highest hills in America are the great cities. If we can stir them we shall stir the whole country.” In the providence of God, the New York Gospel Mission has maintained a physical presence in the heart of Manhattan just a few blocks away from the Empire State Building at a time when many other Christian organizations have been forced to leave the city. NYGM operates their Gospel ministry out of a small, historic church building on 26th Street and it is once again the venue for our third Foundations Conference.

We have assembled a unique lineup of respected preachers from varied backgrounds to open God's Word for us on Dec 19-20, 2019. We hope you will join us!

The seating is extremely limited, but the benefit is that you'll have an opportunity to sit and talk with the speakers and other pastors in a relaxed setting. In addition, all singing will be done a cappella for its beauty in simplicity.
Joining us at the conference will be Banner of Truth and they have graciously agreed to offer generous discounts for conference attendees. We hope you will take advantage of their book tables during the break times each day.

Treat yourself to a memorable showing of Handel's Messiah at the Lincoln Center performed by the world-class New York Philharmonic, performing the same week of the conference for your convenience. Just a tip, the Wednesday evening (Dec 18) before the conference would be an ideal time to go see it this year!
Lunches and refreshments will be provided on-location for both days. In addition, every attendee will receive a special, handmade, commemorative conference pottery mug. It is not your typical mug!
