Voters Oppose Democrats’ Stance on Abortion
"Americans overwhelmingly reject the Democratic Party's extreme agenda of abortion on demand through birth and even beyond," Marjorie Dannenfelser, SBA List's president, said in a statement. "Three in four voters agree babies born alive during a failed abortion should be protected in law, and nearly two-thirds oppose efforts to allow late-term abortion even at the moment of delivery, like those in Virginia and New York."

UPS, I don’t understand why a fellow like Jim, with his incredible immune system, feels like he needs universal healthcare. Jim is immune to truth, and has no reaction whatsoever to facts.

Socialized health care in Australia has driven costs up, too. Each year on April 1, the insurance companies increase premiums above the rate of inflation. Some policies can increase by hundreds of dollars without any increase in the level of benefits paid out.

About 9% of people in New South Wales and about 25% in South Australia wait more than a year for public dental services, such as fillings, extractions and root canals.

Sorry for crowding the thread but if you are pro life you are anti UHC.

Australia

In Australia’s government-managed system, for example, you can’t choose your doctor – you have to take the first one allocated to you, even though you may prefer someone else. You can’t choose the time and place of treatment, and there is little flexibility since appointments are generally based on the hospital’s schedule with little regard to your own.
Because governments necessarily have limited resources, not every health need can be funded. For example, some pregnant women are discharged too early after giving birth because the hospital needs to put someone else on their bed.
Consider, also, the plight of those seeking elective surgery. These patients can suffer on waiting lists for months (with two percent of patients waiting for over a year) before they are able to get much-needed medical treatment. The median wait time in 2015 was 37 days, even though many ‘elective’ procedures are pretty important – like gallstone removal, heart bypass surgery, neurosurgery and knee, hip, and shoulder replacements.

Professor Monty Mythen, head of anaesthesia at University College London and Great Ormond Street Hospital, said: "In America, after surgery, everyone would go into a critical care bed in a highly-monitored environment. That doesn't happen routinely in the UK.

More than nine million people at emergency wards in the 2016-17 fiscal year were sent home after receiving only guidance

There are no more ambulances, so patients who need to get to hospital in minutes take an hour, and might die.

NPR reported that "the horror stories just keep coming in: long lines outside emergency departments — just to get into the waiting room — and of hospitals locking their doors to keep new arrivals away."

In fact, out of seven major industrial nations, the U.K. had the lowest cancer survival rates for colon, lung and prostate cancer, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The mortality rate for heart-attack and stroke patients is higher there than in the U.S.

An NHS Improvement survey of data from the first three months of 2018 found that 2,600 patients had waited more than a year for elective treatment—a nearly 75% increase from the previous year.

The above is an excellent read however the following statements are from it or various other sources on the internet mainly from the UK or Australia

Jim saying that UK are Australia are doing “fine” with UHC is an outright lie.  Here is the proof

4. Numerous unnecessary deaths occur under the NHS. A study conducted by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine concluded that around 750 patients a month – one in 28 – pass away due to subpar quality of care, which includes "inattentive monitoring of the patient’s condition, doctors making the wrong diagnosis, or patients being prescribed the wrong medicine." In other words, patients needlessly die as a result of the incompetence of the NHS.
For example, in January an elderly woman died from cardiac arrest after waiting 35 hours on a trolley because there was a shortage in hospital beds. A 73-year-old man also died from an aneurysm in the same hospital as he languished in the waiting room.

O’ Jim don’t be foolish in your reasoning that you willn’t perish away, in your active state of rebellion against Christ & heading to His Word, as a Doer & Hearer; LK 13:3 I tell you, nay; but unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Jim; How is Unverisal Health Care going to fix this problem??; Pro 20:6, V-9 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness; but a faithful man, who can find? Who can say, “I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin”?

Praise God that men & women go to the Murder Mills & plea with moms & dads, too see that their is hope in & through Christ Alone. As none have no claim of being good or righteous left to their own selves ever; Jer 17:9, ISA 64:6!

How the Gospel changes harden hearts, as all glory & the power of transformation is from Christ Alone amen;

I was just listening to a Focus on the Family, broadcast, and on May 4th, a Christian activist group is going to be in Times Square (New York), and will be showing a 4D sonogram on that huge, LED jumbo-tron they have on one of the buildings there. I think that's a great idea, and if it saves just one life. People need to see that there is a little human being in there, and not just some blob that can be extinguished on-demand. There's a little baby in there with a beating heart, little hands and feet, often found sucking a thumb, yawning, and even, smiling, etc. A baby in the womb only becomes a human being following delivery? Ridiculous, and ignorant bafoonery.

QUOTE][AUTHOR]Christopher J. Hale[/AUTHOR]Sadly, the pro-life movement has been largely unsuccessful in changing the minds and hearts of the American public. Four decades after the Roe v. Wade decision, a majority of Americans support abortion rights....

Perhaps it’s because too often this venerable movement has been associated with partisan politics. But if understood correctly, this crucial social justice issue should be at the heart of both of the progressive and conservative agenda....

And to be truly pro-life, we must realize that the attacks on human life might begin at conception, but they don’t end there. In today’s world, being pro-life must be more than being pro-birth. In this economy that kills, we must acknowledge that anyone who isn’t seen as valuable in the economic advancement to the United States is often left behind, including the unborn, but also the elderly, the poor, the immigrant, and the uninsured. These excluded persons must too be at the heart of the pro-life movement....[/QUOTE]excerpt from, "Pro-Life Is More Than Being Pro-Birth"

Here in the United States, when anyone harms, or kills an animal, they are facing a two year term in prison. Murder a perfectly healthy baby up to birth, and for any reason, whatsoever, and life goes on. Strange logic.

Significant quotes regarding the redistribution of wealth by any state.

The greatest danger along this, is the redefinition socialism needs of man's inherit nature, which greatly defers from the definition the Bible rends.
To function, Socialism is obliged to admit at every turn that man is 'diseased', not responsible for his own doings, and at bay of chances, in order to justify all sorts of 'benefits'; when God says he is corrupted from head to toe and should be held accountable for his actions. Romans 3
Socialism gives privileges without responsibilities, God upholds rights along accountability.

Face it, Jim. Your push for universal healthcare is not based on compassion, but on covetousness. It has nothing to do with with need, and everything to do with greed. It is not only anti-American, but anti-Christian—which you have proven yourself to be time and time again.

We are pro life and that makes us anti abortion and anti UHC.

"If we look at illnesses in which aggressive, timely medical care makes a difference, Americans live longer. For example, American women have a 63% chance of living five years or more with cancer, compared with only 56% for Europeans. For men, the figures are 66% for Americans, and 47% for Europeans, writes Betsy McCaughey.
Some European countries with universal coverage have better life expectancies than the U.S. They also have less gang warfare, less racial diversity, fewer traffic deaths, and a different diet. Americans who don’t die from homicide or car crashes outlive people in every Western country (David Gratzer, IBD 7/26/07)."

Did you move out of the country Jim?

Last I knew Obamacare is still the law of the land so we have so called UHC right here in the good old USA. The mandate to buy it is gone and making people like you pay for pregnancy coverage doesn’t exist but it is still there.

Not the government’s job to provide womb to the tomb healthcare and our government has proven, like all others, to be very poor administrators of health coverage. Cost have risen, quality has gone down, what gets covered has been rationed. Just ask a veteran who is dependent of VA coverage.

Pro-life? of course for anyone to be pro-life you can't be just anti-abortion You have to be for universal healthcare, albeit without abortion support, Frank. This is one reason several states supported the expansion of Medicaid, such as Nebraska did in the last election❗ I would suggest you look at the following article,
https://tinyurl.com/bx4zbqd (The politics of abortion: America does not have a pro-life party)

The article I put up from NPR, should have been more appreciated by you, Frank, since it gives a more accurate picture of where Americans stand on abortion and does show a weakness in more rabid supporters of abortionists -- anytime anyplace position.

I like this story but had to check the source first--the Washington Free Beacon. It reminded me too much of a similar publication by the sodomite crowd.
I would like to believe this poll, but I still doubt any of those voters who are registered as Democrats will vote against any Democrat candidate.
What this story might be doing is preparing the campaign for those Democrats. It means they will not mention abortion when election time comes up, but will instead say, "I support a woman's right to choose (to kill her baby if she doesn't want it)" or "I support a woman's right to have control over her body (except for the 50 percent of the aborted babies who are female).

Jim, just so that you don't confuse anyone.

This is from a pro-life site so it is biased towards doing the right thing. Notice how it is worded versus your pro-death agenda. 99.99999 percent of abortions are for convenience sake; plain and simple. Whatever percent that is left, should be done in accordance with the below.

http://prolifephysicians.org/app/?page_id=2

"When the life of the mother is truly threatened by her pregnancy, if both lives cannot simultaneously be saved, then saving the mother’s life must be the primary aim. If through our careful treatment of the mother’s illness the pre-born patient inadvertently dies or is injured, this is tragic and, if unintentional, is not unethical and is consistent with the pro-life ethic. But the intentional killing of an unborn baby by abortion is never necessary."

You are beginning to sound more like a parrot than a troll. But, neither responds to specifics that are posted and you have never responded to the above.

Sarah McCammon wrote:

The reason for the procedure also shapes public opinion on abortion. For the first time in 15 years, Gallup asked Americans about their views on abortion in a range of particular cases, including rape and incest or when the life of the mother is in danger.

A majority of respondents, 83 percent, said abortion should be legal in the first three months to protect the woman's life; that number fell to 75 percent in the third trimester. More than three-quarters (77 percent) support legal abortion in the first trimester in cases of rape and incest, though that fell to just over half (52 percent) by the third.

For the first time, the survey asked about support for abortion rights in the case of a prenatal Down syndrome diagnosis. That issue has divided disability-rights advocates as several state legislatures have considered bans. In that situation, 49 percent said they support abortion rights during the first trimester and 29 percent in the third trimester.

For the survey, Gallup interviewed 1,024 U.S. adults ages 18 and older. The margin of error was plus or minus 4 percentage points....
