Scotland's school transgender guidance 'may have negative impact' on other children
A women's campaign group has raised concerns about the Scottish Government's latest guidance on transgenderism in schools.
In particular, the campaign group said that although the negative consequences were likely to affect both boys and girls, it was girls who stood to be 'most adversely impacted'.
In some areas, the report warned that the comfort of transgender students 'seems to take precedence' over that of girls and that the rights of female students were being ignored.
The report also warned that religious children could be negatively impacted as their beliefs may conflict with some aspects of the guidance, such as sharing facilities with members of the opposite sex.
Praying for you and your son, Wayfarer. This must hit very close to home for you.
What is interesting, and hopeful, is that there are voices out there decrying the transgender nonsense for what it is, a farce.
We listened to a sermon last week by Voddie Baucham on the overall history of the Book of Ruth. Just because it seems like the days are dark does not mean that the Lord is absent or not at work somehow. In the midst of what seemed like a disaster, the Lord brought together an unlikely husband and wife, one a Moabite, who became the grandparents of David from who's line came Jesus Christ. It may seem dark today, but the Lord is still with His people.
I listened to a Christian radio program recently, in which transgender issues were discussed. A lesbian leader was kicked out of a human rights organization because she called a self described convicted sexual predator who was a transgender man, who identified as a female as a predator, after he transferred to a female prison. There he raped 2 inmates and assaulted a female prison guard. The lesbian was brought before her cities human rights group and told to formally apologize to the transgender community for her comments. The head of the human rights group was a transgender man. Transgenderism is radicalized cult. To make policy based or the whims of a cult is like allowing the Manson Family to proceed with their race war fantasy by approving the killing more wealthy celebrities.
Good points, Hammer, but I woukd argue that it's not the helmet of the assurance of salvation that protects us from being led away into sin but other pieces of armour. That might include the shield of faith (by which we extinguish the firey darts of the Wicked) and breastplate of righteousness with the breastplate held on by the belt of truth.
Scotland has forever been a war zone btwn those of the faith in Christ and those who would pervert that faith. I haven't spent enough time in prayer for our brothers and sisters there. One has to wonder how the seemingly eternal conflict has driven emmigration to other places where Christians are more free to live as we are called to live. May the Lord preserve His remnant until the end...for the conflict isn't really eternal but the Lord is.
One of many schemes of the devil is to Lead the world into sexual perversion. He distorts the world's view of God's plan for a man and woman, which are made in the image of God, to follow his agenda of sexual perversion. It is natural for the world to follow its father the devil. As Christians we are blessed with the Holy Spirit showing us the full armor of God, that He has applied to our life once we are born again . The helmet of salvation protects our minds from believing the lies of sexual perversion .
