Effort to Allow Full-term Abortion Defeated in Virginia

Fresh on the heels of the so-called Reproductive Healthcare Act in New York, signed by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, which allows abortions up to 40 weeks, a similar effort to legalize such late-term abortion in Virginia was narrowly defeated in committee on Tuesday.

In Virginia, Republicans are in the majority in the House of Delegates, where a subcommittee voted 5-3 to table H.R. 2491, dubbed the Repeal Act. All Republicans on the committee voted to table — and essentially kill — the effort to legalize full-term abortions, while all the Democrats on the committee opted to support the pro-abortion bill’s enactment.

Democrat Delegate Kathy Tran, under questioning, admitted that her legislation would permit abortions at 40 weeks. Forty weeks is a full-term abortion. Tran argued that full-term abortion would be allowed if it were considered necessary to protect a woman’s mental or ...

Very true Christopher, ironically the same logic and philosophy they use to elevate animal life is the very same logic and philosophy they use to de-elevate human life. Interestingly, the real reason why they can protect animal life but hate human life is because humans are made in the image of God. They hate God, they eant to destroy His image, but they are also too selfish to destroy their image.

This nonsense going on needs everyone's prayers. One state after another is attempting to follow suit with New York. Every single Democrat in the Virgina State Senate voted in favor of this today, but thank God is was still struck down. Unbelievable.

A bacterium on Mars would be considered precious life, but a baby in the womb, isn't. Anyone who lives on an oceanfront beach where sea turtles lay eggs, if they leave a bright, outside light on when turtles are hatching, and that light causes just one, single turtle to head towards the light, instead of the water, it's considered a serious crime that's met with serious fines, and a headline in the local morning paper; outing the horrible, unconscionable, monster who confused a baby turtle. Even baby turtles are more important than a human baby.

What's the difference between this wicked bill, and having a 5yr old child who is choking on food in a restaurant, and while the child is gasping for a breath, the parents have a discussion, and deciding they want their freedom back, allow the child to suffocate? What's the difference between this scenario, and a woman giving birth who says, wait a sec guys...I changed my mind, and can't handle a baby right now.

Interesting hypothetical, Frank. The mindset of these people is outrageous, and so is the fact that each day, other states are also trying go the way of New York's reproductive healthcare act. Virginia shot it down today, thanks to the fact that the bill allows a woman to change her mind on the delivery table, for any reason, and even right in the middle of the birthing process. Sickening, diabolical wickedness. New Mexico is the latest state to want to enact this new legislation, and it's all just unbelievable to me, and all in the name of a woman's right to choose. Like you've often said...what about the father?
Thanks Chris! Yes, the father has absolutely no say so regarding an abortion. Women control life and death and can legally murder.

And, we all know that if a woman who is pregnant is harmed and her baby dies, then the death of the baby is a crime.

This is what happens when the feminist Pandora's Box was opened.

Strange. I thought murder was illegal in America??

It's interesting that the pursuit of womens 'rights' and 'equality' has come out during a time of apostasy in the churches and moral decline in society.

'Rights' which are demonstrated by some women killing their own child.

But that is Democrat politics today.

Here is a good question that could be posed to them. Ask them if it would have been okay for Mary to abort Jesus when He was in her womb? After all, Mary was young, unmarried and since Christ was born in a stable it is certain they weren’t prosperous. Even if they don’t believe that He was the Savior of the entire world, they are unlikely to say “if she thought it was okay, then it would have been okay”. Once again their hypocrisy will become clear. From the moment of conception Jesus was fully human and destined to be the Messiah of the entire world. Was His unformed body worthy of being saved from someone killing, no murdering Him?

Rhetorical question.
