Human family tree gains new member as scientists confirm 'missing link' ?
A new ‘missing link’ between our ape-like ancestors and early humans has been identified, showing that we were still swinging from the trees less than two million years ago.

The first fossils of Australopithecus sediba were discovered in Malapa, South Africa, ten years ago, but experts were unsure if they were unique or just examples of already known species.

Now after a decade of a research experts have confirmed they do belong to a unique species which slots into the human family tree between little upright apes like ‘Lucy’ - the 3.2 million-year-old Australopithecus afarensis skeleton found in 1974 - and Homo habilis, the first tool-maker, which live around 2.1 to 1.5 million years ago. ...

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

V10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail."

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

Steven Qrote:
"The fact is, science, by rule of its own nature, can afford to be wrong
it can afford to find a new and better answer... it can be proven wrong, and not suffer negative consequences—and evolution disguises itself as science.
This is why it is so important to ONLY discuss facts, and not supposition. Too many times, Creationists end up acting like the defense attorney
throwing out non-facts and ill conceived hypotheses to the world, hoping to cast a reasonable doubt on evolution
but when those errors come to light, it has the opposite effect, and simply makes our case look weak."

Good point, Steven. The fact is that we have plenty of facts to refute evolutionary theory, and we can use their own science, and circular reasoning, etc., against them to get it done. We don't need to ever include any personal, etc., suppositions when we already have so much hard evidence at our disposal; beginning with the evidence that God's Word itself provides, and moving on from there to real world evidence.

According to an evolutionist, given enough time, anything can happen; anything can come to be. Time solves any problem...

What do you think of this thesis statement:
The problem Christian's face in the Creationism versus evolutionism debate is the tendency for people to treat it like a court trial; the Creationists have become the prosecuting attorney, who must work to build a rock solid, irrefutable case
the evolutionists are simply defense attorneys whose only need is to cast reasonable doubt on the Creationists assertions.

Since mankind is the apex of the evolutionary process, and since college professors are so much more evolved than ordinary people, and since professors are almost invariably liberals, and since liberals are just about the only ones who are homosexuals, it appears that man is about to evolve himself right out of existence. So much for survival of the fittest. Who would have thought that humanity would come to an end when Homo sapiens evolved into Stupidus maximus? But of course Mother Earth will be better off, and fifty-eleven gadzillion years from now cockroaches will once again morph into Democrats.

I'm gonna side-step the insult, because I know they always come from a deep place of envy, life regrets, anger over your malfunctioning DNA, and the physical abnormalities that you see when you gaze into your tribes mirror, a piece of tinfoil you found in a normal person's trash while searching for a snack one night.

Anyway, you nailed it on the issue of time. Any hardcore evolutionist will say that given enough time, anything can, will, and does, happen. Time itself is the magic elixir which makes their impossible implausibilities, a reality. Nonsense. I've always said that evolution should be a constant; a consistent process that's happening all around us, at all times, and at any given moment. We should be able to look around, and see the evidence all around, but, what...so it just all stopped all of a sudden? Convenient. Why? Did nature decide everything had evolved to perfection, or is the theory just that...a nonsensical, unprovable theory.

Yeah, I had to give it some thought, but I'm pretty sure that was Frank. I recalled that incident he had related, and him mentioning that it was on, or right after, one of his birthdays, around 1000yrs ago. I could have sworn that it was a pet stegosaurus, but could be wrong. I do remember that he got a new club for his birthday, and some rocks for spending money.

God created mankind in his image. He did not mess around with us and make us from some other animal. Still we sought out many inventions, and marred that image, and it appears that mankind still does seek out many inventions.

But those upon whom God bestows saving grace are being renewed to his image. According to the word of God, that image is knowledge, righteousness and true holiness with dominion over the creatures, including their own tongues. Those who believe otherwise are on their way to a very hot place.

Thanks, Steven, for any prayers for my wife, if time ever allows. Her name is Michelle.

Good for you being published. I love writing as well, whether it be fact-based, or, creative, but you have the ambition, that I haven't, so far, anyway.

I appreciate the kind words, and will be praying for your situation.
Honestly, I started several years ago for three reasons:
1.) To keep me sharper on a daily basis as part of my study.
2.) To give my wife and kids proof that I am in my Bible.
3.) To give them a launching point for their day before their devotions.
I like to write, and have several books published, fiction and non-fiction (and unfortunately have fallen behind—I have several that I need to finish, but lack time.)

“According to Scripture, God has created the ‘universe.’ God has created time and space. God has created all the ‘facts’ of science. God has created the human mind. In this human mind God has laid the laws of thought according to which it is to operate. In the facts of science God has laid the laws of being according to which they function. In other words, the impress of God’s plan is upon His whole creation."

Hi Steven,

I don't normally come up against personal envy in daily life, as far as wanting what others have on a material level, but I do find envy seeping its way through a crack somewhere when it comes to spiritual things once in a great while. After reading your comment last night, I couldn't help but to feel envious that you do that, are able to do that, and that they are obviously receptive to it, because I'm assuming they're born again Christians. What I wouldn't give to see my own, Roman Catholic, but highly liberalized and worldly, wife saved. What I wouldn't give to be able to go to church together, study, discuss things, and pray together, etc. You are very fortunate, and blessed to have what you do. I can't imagine that there are a whole lot of husbands and fathers who do what you do, daily, or are able to, so I was really glad to learn of that, and, yes...envious as well, unfortunately.

Well I sure hope your little daily devotions (written by yourself) will coincide more often with the discussion, Steven. Most edifying, bro.

I was shopping for a Pyrex the other day and the lid said, “Made by Design” I thought, “wow, we have no problem seeing a well made piece of glass, but not humans” if the Pyrex is assumed to be made by design, how much more us? This indeed is a moral hatred of God issue and NOT a science issue.

"Darwinism above all fails to provide an explanation of humanness in terms of its psychic dimension. Darwin began with the attempt to derive all the mental phenomena to be found in humans (consciousness, language, religion, morality, etc.) from phenomena occurring in animals, and many others have followed him in this regard. But up until now these attempts have not been successful either. Like the essence of energy and matter, the origin of movement, the origination of life, and teleology, so also human consciousness, language, freedom of the will, religion, and morality still belong to the enigmas of the world that await resolution. Ideas, which are entirely mental, relate to the brain in a very different way from the way bile relates to the liver and urine to the kidneys. In the words of Max Muller, language is and remains the Rubicon between us and the animal world.”"(H.Bavinck)

"Mankind was created in the image of God, but we are called to ACT like Christ. Consider the attributes: holy, righteous, merciful, giving, loving, compassionate... the list can go on and on... but ask yourself; are you acting like Christ? If not, isn’t it time for us to start?" stephenr wrote

Stephen, I don't know who it was wrote that commentary you quoted, but the conclusion is excellent, and worthy of all pondering and musing.

Michael, thank you for clearing that up.

Until the incarnation of the Word in 4BC, all three members of the Godhead were Spirit, and invisible. So whoever it was that created man in Genesis 1:27 was invisible and therefore did not have "an image" to replicate.

I'm real glad you do not countenance the teachings of men like Ken Copeland who is fully convinced that God the Father is a 6ft tall God sitting on a throne in the heavenlies. Worse still is his insistence that the gospel of Christ is not found at the cross, but what happened afterwards.
