It seems that socialism is like an infectious disease that everyone has to get ill of to develop immunity. As Alexander Solzhenitsyn pointed out, “For us in Russia, communism is a dead dog, while for many people in the West, it is still a living lion.”
This dead dog, expelled from Russia, acquired a new life in the United States and regained vitality to become a living lion within the Democratic Party.
The 2018 Democratic victory in the midterms brought new Marxist arrivals to the House of Representatives who are interpreting the elections as an endorsement of socialist policies. They dropped all the pretenses — no liberals, no progressives — they are proud Marxist-Leninists driven by the ideology and committed to converting this country into the United Socialist States of America....
When Fidel Castro’s came into power Che’ Guevara oversaw the killings of up to 8,000 middle class professionals, lawyers, doctors, soldiers, priests , pastors and lay men, and people who were arrested as political prisoners ( and just died in custody or during interrogations). That is what everyone of the demoncratic party hopes for,...

Any Biblically-informed person should know that inherited wealth is no less just than earned, Prov. 13:22. Those who forcibly redistribute wealth, to themselves or others, are the real Robber Barons, Rom. 13:9, Eph. 4:28.
Singapore is lousy with millionaires and has a very high standard of living despite "wealth disparity" and lack of minimum wage.
When you have modern-day robber barons getting the public eye, it gives Capitalism a black eye
Jared McDonald, David Carol and Liliana Mason wrote: ...The narrative of Trump as self-made is simply false. Throughout his life, the president has downplayed the role his father, real estate developer Fred Trump, played in his success, claiming it was “limited to a small loan of $1 million.” That isn’t true, of course: A comprehensive https://tinyurl.com/ybscguce York Times investigation last year estimated that over the course of his lifetime, the younger Trump received more than $413 million in today’s dollars from his father....

I did like the Alexander Solzhenitsyn quotation in the article anyway.đź‘Ť
IT reminds me of George Santayana's famous phrase, 'those who do not remember history are condemned to repeat it' though you would think 2 examples of socialism in this hemisphere--Cuba and Venezuela--would provide good examples of what not to do. But, as the other expression goes, 'A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still' so the liberals who control the media will not listen to any Cuban or Venezuelan telling them how things are not working in their countries.
And, this is a reminder that 'elections have consequences' and many conservative voters did not show up last year, or, as Democrats still control the vote counting in many areas, more of the dead voted than conservatives. And the current Open Border issue is another reminder--Dems need these people here to allow them to vote (for Dems, of course).
"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." (Winston Churchill)
"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money." (Margaret Thatcher)
Socialism/Communism/Liberalism Develops into :- "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others" "A proclamation by the pigs who control the government in the novel Animal Farm , by George Orwell. The sentence is a comment on the hypocrisy of governments that proclaim the absolute equality of their citizens but give power and privileges to a small elite."
PS: Never be deluded by the term "Democracy" When it is used by politicians and bureaucrats, it usually means - We are in charge. You put us there, and We know best. Do what you are told.

It will be interesting to see who slithers out from under their rocks during the next six months to attempt to defeat Trump as Democratic candidates for POTUS. One thing seems certain; the slide to socialism will come quickly after Trump's presidency and the younger generation seems all too willing to have it come and the liberals are all too eager to give it to them in exchange for their votes.
Its alive and well in most of the heavily populated metros already which is why I hate travelling to any of them.
This liberal socialistic 3 ring circus model is systematically destroying Venezuela from the inside right now at breakneck speed, yet people happily jump on this bandwagon with a smile and a nod and say yes! Sign me up!
The Bayou purchase was well worth the investment long ago, maybe we should consider the Cali sell. We could sell it for the price of the current national debt we have to this group. Maybe throw in Oregon and Washington as well but keep our bases active on the pattern of Gitmo in Cuba...and then build a wall with the excess funds. After they implode in say 50 years or less, we reconstruct on a debt free, pay as you go system of government.
"This militant crowd is comprised of uniformed and misinformed people looking at themselves as unfortunate, underpaid, underappreciated victims of capitalism..." In a sense, they are victims of capitalism. What they fail to realize however, is that the capitalism they have become a prey to, isn't the grass roots capitalism of small family owned businesses that made America the greatest country on the planet. Instead it is the corrupt, crony, wall street capitalism that has dominated the U.S. for quite some time now. Something else these people don't seem to understand is that corporate wall street capitalism isn't just something the republicans are guilty of. No, even the democrats have become experts at this game. Do any of these people know of Jane Sanders, the wife of their hero Bernie? She was president of a college that dosen't even exist anymore. Try to guess why. As former congressman Ron Paul was fond of saying," Don't blame capitalism. We haven't had capitalism for quite some time now."
