Only 7 percent of millennials support Democratic Party’s position on abortion
Ninety-three percent of millennial-aged Americans do not subscribe to the official Democratic Party platform on abortion, according to a newly released survey by a pro-life student group.

The poll, released Monday by Students for Life of America's Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, found that only 7 percent of millennials surveyed supported taxpayer funding of abortions and abortion without any legal restrictions. This contrasts with the stated position of the Democratic Party on the issue of abortion.

According to the 2016 Democratic Party platform, “every woman should have access to quality reproductive health care services, including safe and legal abortion—regardless of where she lives, how much money she makes, or how she is insured.” ...

Yes, "Adriel" it does look like some people are born Democrats and will die Democrats, just like some Catholics and Jews are the same way.
When you see a headline like this, you wonder, why didn't the vote turn out any different? How did the Dems win the House?
Well, many Republicans retired, leaving no one competent to follow them (that's like leaving your company in the hands of anyone in the back office!).
And maybe these millenials did not bother to vote.

Interesting points raised in survey!

Doubt if it will change the Democrats policies any.

Their views on killing the unborn child translates into women's rights over their own body and decisions which are relativist; (relativism rules).

Thus the unborn child is reduced to a non-human without rights.

Hence killing the baby is not wrong because the woman's rights are paramount in Democrat ideology, due to Liberalist-socialist dogma.

(Some women are more equal than other women - Orwellian)

Many out there who accept abortion do not look too deeply into it and accede to it because "It is none of their business" - Therefore better not to judge!

Thus they can continue to vote Democrat with a "clear" conscience.

Good to hear, but when it comes to voting, it seems like they will continue to vote for any candidate who has a D after their name.
I think there is a lot of room for new people with R after their name to enter the races.

Problem with such polls is, results can change depending on how questions are phrased and whom they query.

Yes, the Democrats need to clean up their act ❗
Cas Mudde wrote:
Today, as many white millennials support the Democrats as the Republicans (each 39%). Just two years ago, Democrats still had a 14% lead over Republicans among white millennials. The trends are even more pronounced among white male millennials. Today, this group favors the Republicans over the Democrats by a staggering 11%. In 2016, Democrats led white male millennials by 12%.

These polls mainly show that millennials are not so different from other Americans. They are also a very diverse group, divided by factors such as education, gender and race. They are less religious and more open than previous generations, which makes them mainly less supportive of the (current) Republican party. But their dislike of the Republicans should not be interpreted as a like of Democrats.

Millennials are at best soft Democrats....
