Attack on Private Gathering in Northern India Typifies Hindu Extremist Strategy

A Hindu extremist strategy for stopping the spread of Christianity by targeting pastors – and their families – was painfully evident in a recent attack on a Christmas planning meeting in northern India.

As has become routine in India, police arrested badly beaten Christians and charged them with causing religious enmity, sources said.

Pastors from 12 churches in Agra, Uttar Pradesh state and from 10 churches in nearby Mathura were meeting, along with their families, in the Hotel Samover in Agra on Oct. 30 to plan a Christmas program when Hindu extremists arrived and began terrorizing them, sources said.

No more than 45 minutes into the meeting, more than 35 Hindu extremists brandishing hockey sticks, baseball bats and wooden sticks barged into the basement hall shouting slogans and curses and began beating the Christians. ...

America should suspend trade with China, India and other countries that persecute Christians. Of course such a move would be hypocritical by a nation that itself opposes Christianity.

Wait a minute...
I thought being called a deplorable was the real persecution.
How wrong I am. How weak my flesh. How fearful my mind. What a sad walk I walk in Christ.

“They were shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ [Hail, Lord Ram]!” while they hit us black-and-blue, and some men from the mob tore the clothes of the women and dragged them by their hair,”

"The assault went on for 45 minutes before police from the Tajganj police station arrived – and arrested the Christians."

People can say what they want about this country, but there are very few other places I'd care to live, based upon the freedoms we have, and the relative safety. Like China, India has really been cracking down; trying to commit genocide against the Living God. The end of days are unfolding in a visible, tangible, and palpable way. Here in the US, we see it by way of gross compromise and apostasy...a great falling away, a watering down of the Living Word, and the notion of sin becoming foolishness.

One has to wonder if it would be acceptable for the Indian christians to turn on their persecutors in self defense. They're not the government after all, just an angry mob very possibly looking for an excuse to rob the christians and practice cruelty for it's own sake. I'd certainly be grabbing the nearest hard object and making some sort of defense. Especially if less able family and friends were involved.
