Death toll rises in California wildfire, matching deadliest
A total of 29 bodies have been found so far from that fire, Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea told a news briefing Sunday evening. He said 228 people were still unaccounted for.
Ten search and recovery teams were working in Paradise ‚ÄĒ a town of 27,000 that was largely incinerated on Thursday ‚ÄĒ and in surrounding communities. Authorities called in a mobile DNA lab and anthropologists to help identify victims of the most destructive wildfire in California history.
By early afternoon, one of the two black hearses stationed in Paradise had picked up another set of remains.
People looking for friends or relatives called evacuation centers, hospitals, police and the coroner’s office....

Excellent comment, QC, I would think that it should be no surprise that God could use man as one his instruments to bring on the Tribulation. Man has already destroyed many animal and plant species.
But, yes, "the end of world," can come to anyone if he dies before Christ's return.
QC, because they need it worse than any other part of the country, when it comes to Christianity?
No, God promised the destruction of the earth through fire, so no it most of the people will be killed according to the book of Revelation. We are just getting a preview.
Bill Chappell wrote: At least 42 people have died in a wildfire in Northern California that burned through the town of Paradise with shocking speed, making the Camp Fire the deadliest in state history. Fire crews are working to fight that blaze, along with another large wildfire in Southern California, where at least two deaths have been reported.

Fairly well detailed about the fires.
One should pay attention to Obama, he was the last educated President that we had.
You mean John Oz:
II Peter 3: 7 But the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

"It‚Äôs true that no single event makes a trend. But the fact is, the 12 hottest years on record have all come in the last 15. Heat waves, droughts, wildfires, floods‚ÄĒall are now more frequent and more intense. We can choose to believe that Superstorm Sandy, and the most severe drought in decades, and the worst wildfires some states have ever seen were all just a freak coincidence. Or we can choose to believe in the overwhelming judgment of science‚ÄĒand act before it‚Äôs too late.2"
Within this short quote, many of the common issues related to climate change are raised‚ÄĒrecent events that are not necessarily indicative of a long-term trend, a claim that the ‚Äúscience‚ÄĚ is settled, and a warning that we must act right now. The president followed these words by vowing that, if legislation were not forthcoming, he would do all he could by executive order." (A.White) https://answersingenesis.org/environmental-science/climate-change/should-we-be-concerned-about-climate-change/
Later Dr. White states:- "To those who believe that the heavens and the earth were designed and created by a ‚Äúhigher‚ÄĚ power, there is ample reason to expect that earth‚Äôs temperature will remain in a range to support life. In fact, God gives us that promise in Genesis 8:22:"
...in the scientists who argue that man-made factors are impacting the climate in a meaningful way which renders their analysis inaccurate and unreliable. It starts with uniformitarianism which is in direct conflict with God's own eyewitness account in Genesis. They have also ignored other important, "natural occurring" factors based on a uniformitarianistic bias of an old universe and old earth.
But I cannot argue with you regarding being a good steward of Creation. To despise the gift of this earth is to despise the God who made it, gave it, and sustains it for our good.
Good points about morality, Jim, but you obviously haven't been the Bible Belt lately. Ever wonder why Tim hands out so many tracts and witnesses to so many unbelievers?
No, I cannot say with any honesty that the people of California are any more guilty than anyone else, and I stand warned by Jesus' words about other trageties:
There were certain men present at the same season, that showed him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered, and said unto them, Suppose ye, that these Galileans were greater sinners than all the other Galileans, because they have suffered such things? I tell you, nay: but except ye amend your lives, ye shall all likewise perish. Or think you that those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, were sinners above all men that dwell in Jerusalem? I tell you, nay: but except ye amend your lives, ye shall all likewise perish. - Luke 13:1-5
At the same time, the Lord does not have infinite longsuffering with sin and sinners. At some point, the time is up. For example:
And in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the wickedness of the Amorites is not yet full. - Genesis 15:16
Regarding pollution causing global warming, there are underlying assumptions and bias
Blue States practice what Red States preach, admittedly imperfectly but still probably better than Red States
Nicholas Kristof wrote: ...To some degree, liberals practice the values that conservatives preach.
This is complicated terrain with lots of exceptions, and the recent scandals involving Harvey Weinstein, Louis C.K. and Al Franken underscore that liberals can be skunks as much as anyone else....

It is sad that people some of smirk that California is suffering all these fires as punishment for it's immorality. I suppose that all the damages caused by hurricanes in the Bible Belt is their reward for being so moral?
I certainly haven't been a big pusher about climate change, but air pollution is another matter and pollution of other types. If pollution was brought under control, it would have a secondary benefit controlling the alleged problems causing climate change‚Ěó ūüĆÄ
