Trump Nominates Openly Gay Lawyer to 9th Circuit Court of Appeals
President Donald J. Trump recently nominated the openly gay lawyer Patrick J. Bumatay to serve as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Curcuit, historically a liberal legal redoubt. The Ninth Circuit covers federal appeals for Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and a few other districts.

Bumatay, 40, currently serves as assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California, where he focuses primarily on prosecuting drug crimes.

Obviously, the somewhat questionable evangelical advisers (from the “prosperity theology” camp), were unfortunately absent when President Trump made this most unfortunate nomination for what I understand to be the most liberal and activist of all the US Federal Appeals Courts, that of the 9th District, which covers the “People’s Republic” of California, and the equally liberal West Coast states.

Unfortunately, some of the liberal “Republicans” in the USA have been as dangerous as the liberal “Conservatives” that rule us here in Britain.

While expressing some relief that the Senate has been spared a leftist takeover, (though I am not too sure that one should trust some of the liberal “Republican” Senators that are there), now that the House of Representatives has gone over to the leftists and globalists, one can expect at least two years of obstruction and difficulty for President Trump.

In the end, the Christians must not trust in their President, except to pray for him, or any of their Federal and State legislators, and State Governors, city mayors and others, but only in the Lord, and to preach the gospel like never before.

Jim, you’re a liar, you know you’re a liar, and it is obvious that you have every intention of continuing to be a liar. It has been demonstrated repeatedly that universal healthcare does NOT reduce the abortion rate, but you keep insisting that it does. Massachusetts has universal healthcare; Mississippi does not. The abortion rate (not just the total number of abortions, but the actual rate per one thousand pregnancies) in Massachusetts is approximately FOUR TIMES as great as it is in Mississippi. What’s that I smell? Oh, Jim, it’s your britches ablaze. Liar.

this is a really good thing.

Pastors like JMac told us for years that Christians were to obey authority (romans 13) and to not be involved politically, that Christians were not to "corrupt" themselves in the public square.

and then Trump when coming into office says that pastors would tell him, hey we cannot support you publiclly because we are 501c3 corporations and must not be political. (must control our speech, ie do not have free speech)

then he said, well maybe we need to get rid of this corporation thing.

and evangelicas were silent. (not having free speech must just make things easier?)

so... since it is only right that they not be in the public square, not be involved in politics and to be incorporated to the stte... then... it is only fitting that they be represented by the ethos of the day... and that is who was nominated.

Frank, I should remind you the state with the greatest number of maternal deaths probably both numerically and percentage-wise is Texas. I will pass to you again the following, shortened some

Mark Shea wrote:
Another argument: “But the government can’t do anything right! Private initiative can always handle it better.”

... It was not private citizens who stormed Normandy, built the interstate system, created the internet or defeated polio, smallpox and Ebola. And as the rest of the civilized world beyond the U.S. demonstrates, the state can reasonably manage a universal health care system.

Health care is a right, and it is the Christian duty of the state to ensure that right to all.

Jim, your only desire is to have socialism for the black community. In order to get that, you must have progressive democrats elected. I remember Obama's church taught that as well.

Perhaps, I will be kinder to the Donald. Here's what he said about LGBTQ people earlier?
Kayla Epstein wrote:
“I like the idea of amending the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include a ban of discrimination based on sexual orientation. It would be simple,” he said. “It would be straightforward. We don’t need to rewrite the laws currently on the books, although I do think we need to address hate-crimes legislation.”

He attributed his stance to the fact that he “grew up in New York City, a town with different races, religions, and peoples. It breeds tolerance.”

Trump said in the same interview that if he became president, sexual orientation wouldn’t be considered in hiring for his administration. “If the best person for the job happens to be gay, I would certainly appoint them,”---{Donald Trump]

excerpt from, "Trump’s stance on LGBT rights has always been confusing"

Perhaps he's just keeping promises?

Spurgeon; Speaking Truth to you Jim, your Black Liberation Theology, is a pot, that has many holes in it, that will never bring saving Peace to your soul EVER!; Pro 14:12!

Spurgeon; "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he can’t see the kingdom of God." Jhn 3:3

You moral & upright people without Christ you are as surely lost as the despicable reprobate!

You chaste & respectable people without Christ you will be as surely damned as the vile prostitute who walks the streets at midnight!

Our moral decline began at the fall. Phil Johnson is quoted often, but wickedness happens wheather you tell people to exercise their rights to vote or not. Blaming Christians who are politically active is no crime. Christian’s were quiet when Hitler came to power because they were afraid and their country was not founded on Judeo/Christian value. It was a broken and defeated .

Jim, do you realize the moral difference between appointing homosexuals to offices versus supporting and promoting homosexual marriage and abortion on demand?

Here is something to help you:

One fellow was a serial murderer and he tortured and murdered 20 people.

Another fellow was a serial murderer and he murdered 3 people.

Now both were serial killers, but which one do you think was the most immoral?

The concept of total depravity simply means that an unsaved person cannot do anything moral, but it doesn’t mean that they are equally immoral.

Trump panders to conservatives who all genuine Christians are; Obama and Hillary pander to no one. They are evil and they don’t try and hide or mitigate it.

I voted for and support Trump. You voted for and promote Obama.

How does this work with your black liberation theology?

In a world full of sinners, none of whom deserve to be saved, it is not surprising that government must use what is found among sinners in this world - ie everybody.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

1Cor 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge:"

Note the statement in v7 - This knowledge of God and Jesus is not in everybody.

So the President has used a sinner to do a job in the courts. Perhaps that is because he could not find any NON-sinners??? with the required qualifications.

Romans 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one"

Norman Vincent Peale was, and Paula White is Trump's spiritual mentors - what's the surprise?

Phil Johnson wrote:
...America’s moral decline has accelerated dramatically since evangelicals became politically aggressive in the late 1970s....they have been remarkably ineffective when it comes to using politics to reverse America’s moral and spiritual decline....

Worst of all, during that same period of time, the evangelical movement has completely lost its spiritual influence, because the evangelical segment of the church has grown increasingly worldly. Evangelicals have become accustomed to compromise. They have abandoned (or else are in the process of abandoning) virtually all the doctrinal distinctives that made them distinct from Roman Catholics and nominal Christians whose faith amounts to a kind of civil religion. Evangelicals have pretty much forfeited whatever real moral and spiritual authority their movement ever had.

excerpt from... (Politically Incorrect?)

If memory serves, Frank, he also appointed a queer to being ambassador to Germany. Such people may not be as effective of ambassadors etc. as normal people would. So that has to be taken into consideration.

Should America discriminate against homosexuals; of course not. We don’t live in a theocracy and there is no law prohibiting that abomination. The constitution has no moral or religious litmus tests. But, it is clear that Trump nominated a homosexual activist. IOW, not someone who merely tolerates it, but accepts, practices and promotes it. The below is from the article.

“He is a member of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association, the Tom Homann LGBT Law Association, and The Federalist Society.

The Tom Homann LGBT Association "is dedicated to the advancement of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues throughout California and the nation," states its website. Its founder, Tom Homann, was a strong advocate for ensuring that explicit, hardcore pornography was available to the public and that topless bars were not not burdened by too many city rules, according to the website.”

So, when Trump says make America great, he certainly isn’t speaking of the moral fiber. Trump has never been against the satanic agendas that take place in this country. He is simply referring to the economic life that Americans have grown to love dearly.

All politicians are all different shades of the same color.
