Trump sends troops to border, an issue that fires up base
The Trump administration is planning to dispatch at least 800 active duty troops to the southern border at the direction of a president who has sought to transform fears about immigration into electoral gains in the midterms as a caravan of thousands of migrants makes its way through Mexico.
Defense Secretary Jim Mattis is expected to sign an order sending the troops to the border, bolstering National Guard forces already there, an official said Thursday. The action comes as President Donald Trump has spent recent days calling attention to the caravan of Central Americans slowly making their way by foot into southern Mexico, but still more than 1,000 miles from U.S. soil....
Apparently Donald Trump scares the Dickens out of the horror writer, Stephen Kingâđ¨
But Stephen had this to say:

Donald Trumpâs campaign message in two words: Be afraid. My campaign message in two words: Be brave. 7:58 PM - Oct 22, 2018
So what is Trump going have the troops do? Mow these people down when they start crossing the border?

If I were you, I'd put M1A1 battle tanks right on the border crossing, and Apache helo's criss-crossing the other boder lands, equipped with FLIR and night vision sights on those 20mm cannons. Put some anti-tank land mines in between triple razor wire fences, so if they get over that, bye bye latino!!!
Then with our army, give them the orders to shoot to KILL, if the caravan ever tries to get into our country. Of course, that saounds to harsh, but it'd meant to be. We aren't messing around. And if Mexico gets mad with us, who cares, we can wipe them off the map within 100hrs....just like in the Gulf War.
Ok Jim...point taken. I really didn't think I was asking anything private, considering how politically vocal you are, and really thought you'd be more than happy to answer, as well as to provide the reasons why. All's good...was just curious who a President of choice would have been if not a conservative. On the other hand, maybe you thought I was trying to set you up, or you just wanted to avoid stirring anything up with an answer...
And we have tried different approaches. NeedHim is, like the Apostle John, ever gentle and loving. I guess Iâm more like James, crusty and direct but aiming straight for the heart. QC, like Paul, takes the middle ground, being either tough or tender as the situation requires. Ladybug and others have used logic and stern rebuke to try to persuade Jim to repent. None of this has apparently made a dent in the old ironclad sinner. If he doesnât repent soon, I fear that God will give him over to a reprobate mind, and indeed He may have already done so.
Curious, many of us have gently presented the Gospel to Jim and earnestly prayed. NeedHim in particular has shown time and again J8m's thinking and focus to be unbiblical while offering him Cbrist instead. He is like the man with the muckrake who will not lift up his eyes to see the extravagant gift of salvation offered in exchange for his muckrake. Truly we do not know his actual spiritual state, but the things he supports make us all gravely concerned.
Prouderân a coon dog? Why my chest is puffed out like a banty hen a-settinâ on a passel of osterch aigs. Chris, Iâm pretty sure Jimâs first choice would be Satan, followed by the Antichrist, George Soros and Bernie Sanders.
I was wondering...if you had been allowed to pick this country's present Commander in Chief from the last elections line-up, left, right, middle, or libertarian, do you mind saying who your choice would have been? Just seems to me that pretty much any conservative is the worst thing ever, according to what I read.
I've always steered clear of politics and any discussion, so until now, I've never paid attention to the back and forths that you and others have had on the political front. Now that I have been because of my interest in the present political climate, I was interested in who your personal pick would have been, or even would be coming up in 2yrs...

A couple of articles that are worth reading from The New York Times.đ
Plain Old Tim wrote: The Bible I read portrays God as a perfectly holy God who is nevertheless completely sovereign. In other words, He does what He wants to, whenever He feels like it, however He sees fit, and âgiveth not account of any of his matters.â Most people today donât want a God like that, but one they can keep on a leash. In other words, a namby pamby God who is in favor of abortion, gay marriage, unlimited violations of immigration laws, and whatever other abomination is popular today. That is the god of this world, NC, not the God of the Bible.
