Dozens of Christians Killed in Muslim Attack on Market in Kaduna State, Nigeria
Muslims attacked a market in Kaduna state, in north-central Nigeria, on Thursday (Oct. 18), killing dozens of Christians and burning a church building, sources said.

Area residents said a Muslim at the market in Kasuwan Magani, 36 kilometers (22 miles) south of the city of Kaduna, began yelling “Thief!” in the late afternoon in a move calculated to cause pandemonium ahead of an attack on Christians and their homes and businesses.

“A Muslim raised a false alarm about a thief in the market, which caused stampede, and then other Muslims started chanting ‘Allahu Akbar [the jihadist slogan, God is Greater],’ attacking Christians, burning houses and shops belonging to Christians in the town,” area resident Kefas Mallam told Morning Star News. ...

It is tragic that there are indeed many churches in Africa, as in many other places, that claim to be Christian, but are anything but.

This “Cherubim and Seraphim” church, sounds suspiciously like a syncretistic group, combining a type of Pentecostal Christianity, with some semi-pagan animistic or even spiritist African practices.

I recall one day, in the East Midlands city where I lived for some years,a whole group of what at first I thought were African Catholic priests and nuns dressed in bright white habits, coming out of the railway station one Saturday.

They all went in their large group to the city central square where they proceeded to distribute leaflets and talk to people. I soon realised they were not Catholic priests and nuns, but members of one of these strange African groups who have a large church in London.

From the leaflets they handed out, which apart from quotes taken out of context were not Biblical, I gathered their head, back in Nigeria was a self styled “prophet” and no doubt “Apostle” who commanded a vegan lifestyle, and lots of “divine revelations”, etc!! We have to indeed pray for these folk, for liberation from deception and for their true conversion to Christ.

Let me start off by saying that murder for any reason is condemned by our Holy God. Those who are not in faith suffer just as much as anyone when one of their loved ones is taken. These Muslim’s goal is a worldwide dominion where someone must either convert, pay the infidel tax or die.

Now, I am also upset because like most articles this notes folks that aren’t in the faith as being Christian. Many ministries whose purpose is to serve the persecuted simply say someone is a Christian if they claim it. Now one of the groups noted in the article was the Cherubim and Seraphim movement. I had never heard of it so I looked it up and all I can say is it is a Christian cult that makes our Charismatic movement look dull.

One day when the antichrist finally reigns on this earth, all genuine Christians will either take the mark of the beast and worship him or suffer death. The wheat and the tares will be truly separated for all to see.
