Pope Francis: Beware of ‘Well-Mannered Demons’
The devil’s mission is always to destroy, Pope Francis said Friday, but his worst assaults are not frontal attacks, but subtle, “well-mannered” persuasion.

In his homily at Mass in the Santa Marta residence Friday morning, the pope said that Satan is most dangerous when he presents himself as a friend who only wants to help us.

The pope was reflecting on the Gospel passage of the day Jesus speaks of a devil who has been cast out and later returns with seven other demons “more wicked than itself,” who set up residence in a person’s soul. ...

Christopher, I have no use for Francis. This past Sunday at my Baptist Church after worship there was a Congregational Meeting about the man who the Elder's want to become the Associate Pastor in order to become the Senior Pastor when Pastor Steve retires eventually. The reason I was not posting comments on here since 26 September is because Hastings Library was closed for 2 weeks while the temporary location was being readied for opening this past Monday at the nearby shopping center. Hastings Library is being expanded.

"Perhaps we supposed, some of us, in our blindness, that the power of the Church of Rome was ended. We dreamed, in our folly, that the Reformation had ended the Popish controversy, and that if Romanism did survive, Romanism was altogether changed. If we did think so, we have lived to learn that we made a most grievous mistake. Rome never changes. It is her boast that she is always the same. The snake is not killed. He was scotched at the time of the Reformation, but was not destroyed. The Romish Antichrist is not dead. He was oast down for a little season, like the fabled giant buried under ./Etna, but his deadly wound is healed, the grave is opening once more, and Antichrist is coming forth. The unclean spirit of Popery is not laid in his own place. Rather he seems to say, "My house in England is now swept and garnished for me; let me return to the place from whence I came forth.""

...and beware of those clever chameleons, trained in the pit, with millennia to hone their skills to perfection, and to get to know mankind so thoroughly, that these demons know exactly which sights, sounds, words, and whispers, will draw in, and appeal to the wilfully ignorant. These masters of deception, and disguise, beguile still today with such simplicity as they did with Eve. Add a little something here, take away something there, twist this a little, bend that, make it appear beautiful on the outside, give the rules plenty of wiggle room, eternal reward promised for mere allegiance and loyalty, and sprinkle it all with a magic potion that causes the ignorant to see something beautiful and holy, instead of the pile of black sludge that those who have been healed from their spiritual blindness see, and you have the Roman Catholic church, as one example of many.

Amazing how everyone has access to God's Word, yet so many bypass it altogether because they have placed their eternal trust in these men and women who claim to have been sent by Him as His representative on planet Earth, and revealer of all truth. Amazing.

One of Satan's most prolific deception methods is false witness - Like the Roman Catholic fallacy masquerading as christian doctrines.

"references found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) of many of the false teachings of Roman Catholicism"
"The Catholic Church is the one true church (CCC 2105), Infallibility of the Catholic Church, (CCC 2035), Only the Roman Catholic Church has authority to interpret Scripture (CCC 100), The Pope is the head of the church and has the authority of Christ (CCC 2034), The Roman Catholic Church is necessary for salvation (CCC 846), Sacred Tradition equal to scripture (CCC 82), Forgiveness of sins, salvation, is by faith and works (CCC 2036 CCC 2080 2068)," Etc Etc Etc ......

Well, WP, the pope would probably like that, although the article mentions his homily at mass. I don’t know if that means a mass of collards or a mass of butterbeans, but either way I’m sure it’s good. As fer them “well-mannered demons,” I don’t know who they are, but I sure know who they ain’t. They ain’t Democrats, because Democrat’s have no more manners than a billy goat in a flower bed.

In New Mexico, they make a pork roast stew with white hominy, and with red and green Hatch chili . On a cold December night , it fills a body good.

Stop. You're making me hungry.

What's interesting is that the Pope recognizes the problem but not the solution - Jesus as He is offered to us in the Bible. Because he misses the solution, he's just part of the problem.

Homily? I like homily with country ham and blackeyed peas. I wonder if His Popiness likes white homily or the yellow variety?
