Muslims chant 'Allahu akbar' at Vikings stadium

Amid chants of “Allahu Akbar,” or “Allah is the greatest,” broadcast over a loudspeaker, thousands of Muslims gathered Tuesday at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis for a massive rally in celebration of the Islamic Eid Al Adha holiday.

KMSP-TV in the Twin Cities reported Minnesota’s various Islamic centers previously have held their own individual prayers for Eid, “but this year with more than two dozen mosques all coming together at U.S. Bank Stadium, they’re calling it Super Eid.”

I think I'll rent the Superdome and gather a few thousand people to chant "Walla Walla Bing Bang!" Or maybe "Ooh wah diddy diddy dum diddy doo." Howsabout "Rama lama ding dong"?

My duty and pleasure. Psalm 90:16, 17 comforts me regarding my own children. I know God hears; therefore, he will answer.

By the way, my children are professors and love one another dearly. However, periodically, and with more frequency, I will ask one of them if they think their sibling will enter heaven.

Things are changing.

God is working through this way of communicating with them. Ask him to call them unto himself, and in his judgment to remember mercy.

God bless you.

Thanks, 'Rey' for pointing out the Ligonier series currently being aired--I am learning things from just today's program.
In addition, there is a secular group, ACT, the American Congress for Truth, founded by a Lebanese woman whose family suffered greatly when the Muslims increased in her country and starting persecuting all Christians.
One little fact about their fasting month, 'Ramadan' that many do not know: they do not fast for the entire month, but eat after the sun goes down or before it rises. Since it is pegged to the lunar calendar, it does not occur every year in the same month, so sometimes it may occur in the winter, when days are short, and therefore the daily fast is less time.
Of course, in a place like Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, they do not have seasons, so this does not apply. I have heard that in these mostly Muslim countries, this custom really screws up productivity. Think of it, workers get up early, eat a whole bunch, then go to work and feel sleepy from getting up early and eating so much. They aren't very productive!

Ligonier ministries is putting out a teaching series about Islam 101.

Dr. Sproul wrote a book on Islam "The dark side of Islam" & I believe he has a teaching series on it as well.

We have a plethora of theologians who deal with Islam, apologists such as Matt Slick, David Wood, Ravi Zacharius, Nabel Queshi, etc.

There are plenty of materials on witnessing to Muslims,

& the reason why there are theological conferences is that we have a better grip on our own theology in order to understand our faith in a deeper & richer way & to defend the faith. Your theology will determine your apologetics.

Do your homework, it's really that simple. I would direct people to look at the G3 conference, and the fact that James White has debated prominent Muslim scholars.

I agree that pastors need to be better equipped to answer Muslim objections and to be better equipped to witness to Muslims, here's a Muslim objection, " according to your scriptures Jesus (God) was Baptized, the Father (God) spoke, and the Spirit (God) descended on Jesus (God). Isn't that three Gods?"

How would you answer that? If you've studied the Trinity and listened to theologians teach on the Trinity, you would know how to answer that objection without dabbling in Modalism or some other heresy.

I've noticed that whenever anyone's commented to Yolanda, instead of reacting with offense, she steps back to evaluate, and I think that has been a great example for all to follow. I think she can be misunderstood at times because of her zeal, along with the way some comments have been worded, but I see a woman who simply wants to reach out, grab Christians, give them a good shake, and say, "Wake up, get excited, and let's do our best to not only grow spiritually, and emulate Christ, but to also get busy in doing our part to fulfill the great comission because the time is short, and this world, in spiritual darkness.

After giving this some thought, there is no way for me to express myself without coming across as being hypercritical and nit picky

My grandkids recently suffered from hand, foot, and mouth disease I believe I suffered the same with my comment I put my foot in my mouth instead of my hand over it. My apologies to Yolanda and the rest of the forum for my inappropriate remark concerning her

God bless

Soul winning is the personal responsibility of every individual Christian. I believe that to be true, brother. Any Christian who is full of the Holy Ghost cannot but witness to Jesus Christ, and any Christian who has grieved or quenched the fire of the Spirit has very little to say to unbelievers, and usually remains quiet.

Whatever men say, on a regular basis, that is what their heart is full of.

I also believe the word evangelical is the most descriptive of any Christian. It is a Bible word, similar to the greek word which we translate "preach the gospel" or similar. So, irrespective of denomination or no denomination, every believer is evangelical, being made that way by the Lord. The new birth produces witnesses to Jesus Christ, that is their new nature.

I am very happy to be called an evangelical, even though it has taken decades to understand what it means.

Yolanda, while your suggestion has merit, Ecclesiastes does tell us that there is a time and a season for everything, including regular worship services. Soul winning is the personal responsibility of every individual Christian. We should have times of corporate soul winning (and thank God the church I attend does), but we each still have a duty to witness individually. Since Jesus said "Ye shall be witnesses unto me," every Christian is either a soul winner or a backslider.

@Just A Guy, Yeah, I agree. I'm not much for arguing, nor am I good at writing, so why not borrow someone else's brains?

I really enjoy reading Quora.com, as the answers people give are pretty fenominal.

I pretty much suck at writing good, detailed rebuttals, so you'll be seeing a lot more articles from that website in the near future, especially concerning gun control, feminism, "white privilege", racism, SJW's and more.
And of course I'll be using that good old trusty sword, the KJV.

*Note: Since Jim L. links to everything and never uses his own brain, why not do the same?

It's time we stop blowing up at his ludicrous posting's, and answer with intelligent answers, concerning politics, world affairs & issues.

Here on SermonAudio:

Shahram Hadian's ANSWERING ISLAM messages (especially THE TRUE FACE OF ISLAM and THE INFLUENCE OF ISLAM IN AMERICAN POLITICS) give great insight concerning the true followers of this religion.

Brian Borgman's THE GOD OF JUDAISM AND ISLAM – IS HE OUR GOD? is a good message for professing Christians who think that the worship of one god (monotheism) – like the Muslims do – must mean the One True God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

As we take in this information let us remember that Muslims too need the gospel, for they are what we Christians once were: enemies of God (Rom 5:10), children of disobedience/children of wrath (Eph 2:1-5).
