Trump increases pressure on Turkey to release pastor
The brewing dispute comes after a Turkish delegation returned from Washington with little to no progress on the detention of U.S. evangelist pastor Andrew Brunson, who is charged with supporting a group blamed for an attempted coup in 2016.
Last month, Trump threatened to slap "large sanctions" on the country if it refuses to free Brunson. The U.S. then announced on Aug. 1 sanctions on Turkey's justice and interior ministers, prohibiting U.S. citizens from doing business with them.
The increase in the metal levies also follows Trump's decision earlier this year to impose tariffs of 25 percent on imported steel and 10 percent for imported aluminum in an effort to protect American business....
"Chaim Kanievsky, one of the world’s leading Jewish scholars, revealed he believes the Jewish saviour was born this Saturday."
"Rabbi Kanievsky went on to add, “This generation displays absolute hatred for those who learn the Bible, especially in recent years. We are seeing all of the conditions described in the Talmud appear before us."
many evangelical organizations have gathered their millions to make these things happen, look up and be glad for your reward comes!
to combine the bible and the talmud, finally they can make world peace.
I too applaud the Administration's actions, as well as Congress', on tge behalf of Pastor Brunson. We don't know how long private discussions were underway, but this is very open and unapologetic. It is also overdue.
When five missionaries were lost in the jungles of Ecuador in the late '50, it became a US military mission to find and retrieve them. It took probably hours for a response to launch. Fast forward 60 years, and it's taken an awful long time.
I will congratulate President Trump for taking action for this pastor's well-being. President Obama never did anything that public. The question is did he do anything in private that benefited Christians either? We will never know, probably, if President Obama ever did anything in private to help Christians. I'm not sure if a highly visible public action will be of any benefit either since this backs various leaders against the wall. The article I think does a good job of pointing out what's happening.
