InterVarsity Sues University of Iowa After 38 Student Groups Are Expelled Over Policies
An InterVarsity Christian student group is suing the University of Iowa after the school kicked it and several other religious groups off campus over what has been deemed as discriminatory leadership policies.
InterVarsity Graduate Student Fellowship filed a federal lawsuit against the university Monday after the club was de-recognized as an official campus student group last month because of its policy requiring that all group leaders be Christian and sign a statement of faith.
InterVarsity is not alone. The university also expelled 37 other student groups that upheld similar requirements last month, including the Chinese Student Christian Fellowship, Young Life, the Latter-day Saint Student Association, the Imam Mahdi Organization, and the Sikh Awareness Club....

Amen to that, brother.
Not learning but indoctrination.
I have a granddaughter who will be a senior this fall at the University of Iowa. But what this university is doing is going on across the nation's universities.... cranking out liberal minds who will one day run this country.
Trump's presidency, I fear, is just a brief respite of what's on the horizon. It would be a miracle if he got elected for another four years. The millennials are hell bent on taking this nation into full blown socialism. And they are empowered through social media. They would have nominated Bernie Sanders as the democratic candidate in 2016, a socialist, had it not been for crooked Hillary and the DNC.
Problem is, the stupid millennials want all the free stuff promised but don't realize that one day they will actually have to enter the workforce and pay the higher taxes socialism requires. They actually believe the "rich" will be fleeced to foot the bill for their freebees while they live free of charge in mommy's and daddy's basement till their mid thirties. College educated idiots.
""the school administration pressured student groups to change their leadership policies so that they are in compliance with the university's human rights and discrimination policy.""
The University of Iowa doesn't come across as very intelligent in using this kind of politically correct Big Brother tactics forcing students to conform to their constraints.
We would expect that Universities should be open to all kinds of community social interactions to prepare students for the outside world.
Yet Iowa Uni. appears to be forcing students to think in blinkered ways instead of opening up to debate and communication. That prevents education and experience of this modern western society full of diversification and variety.
Perhaps Iowa Students should find a more open and enlightened university in tune with this modern multiplicity planet. Don't let Iowa obscure the reality of our manifold society life today.
What on earth are these narrow and dictatorial institutions trying to do to our children today??? Place of 'Learning'.
