Kavanaugh: Judges Must Interpret, Not Make Law
After the announcement of his nomination to the Supreme Court, Judge Brett Kavanaugh stated, “A judge must be independent and must interpret the law, not make the law. A judge must interpret statutes as written, and a judge must interpret the Constitution as written, informed by history and tradition and precedent.”

Kavanaugh said, “The framers established that the Constitution is designed to secure the blessings of liberty. Justice Kennedy devoted his career to securing liberty. I am deeply honored to be nominated to fill his seat on the Supreme Court.”

He later added, “My judicial philosophy is straightforward. A judge must be independent and must interpret the law, not make the law. A judge must interpret statutes as written, and a judge must interpret the Constitution as written, informed by history and tradition and precedent. For the past 11 years, I’ve taught hundreds of students, ...

The nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to be the next Supreme Court justice is President Trump’s finest hour, his classiest move. Last week the president promised to select “someone with impeccable credentials, great intellect, unbiased judgment, and deep reverence for the laws and Constitution of the United States.” In picking Judge Kavanaugh, he has done just that.

In 2016, I strongly supported Hillary Clinton for president as well as President Barack Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court, Judge Merrick Garland. But today, with the exception of the current justices and Judge Garland, it is hard to name anyone with judicial credentials as strong as those of Judge Kavanaugh....

There is an audio clip of Kavanaugh being grilled by a Senator about Roe v. Wade and he said he would uphold it as judicial precident. This was when he was being confirmed to a lower court. He is a Jesuit Catholic from what I understand. He is not pro life and would overturn a hornets' nest before he wouor Roe v Wade. We were dipped by Reagan appointing Kennedy and Sandra Day O'Connor. Gorsuch wouldn't vote to overturn the opinion either. Abortion is a sacred cow. Only a revival of The Spirit would put put an end to it. People have got to get saved and a lot for it to go away.

...In the mid-1990s, Kavanaugh joined Kenneth Starr’s independent counsel team investigating President Bill Clinton and ultimately helped write the Starr Report to Congress. The report outlined in broad detail grounds on which to impeach President Clinton for his role in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. A decade later, Kavanaugh penned a law review article expressing second thoughts about whether presidents should be subjected to the burdens of prosecution and investigation. Kavanaugh’s evolved view on the subject could have implications for President Trump....

The real reason that Trump picked Brett Kavanaugh? You really can't tell because when Trump is selling anything or anybody it sounds like a piece of real estate.

David Brooks is going to like Brett Kavanaugh, ]] (It Took a Village to Raise Kavanaugh). --"He is the product of a conservative legal infrastructure that develops ideas, recruits talent, links rising stars, nurtures genius, molds and launches judicial nominees."

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men."

1Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God."

May the Lord continue to rule the hearts and minds of all people. Especially politicians and judges. Amen.

Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."

Americans may claim they are an independent sort. However, they lean on the judgement of unelected judges, career politicians and if they want to drink, buy a pound of dope and legalize sodomy , why they go to the court and get laws made to suit themselves. In Texas it was a big deal to make folks wear a seat belt and put babies in car seats. But at the same time, bikers don’t want to wear helmets and sure enough, you got a law to make that happen.
Laws have consequences, had a high school senior ride a motorcycle into a bridge and now he’s a vegetable, aids is now common like a cold, dope and drugs are everywhere, but, lands , don’t forget to put on your seatbelt .

If he is confirmed, I believe that will make 6 catholics and 3 Jews on the Supreme Court. I think Gorsuch calls himself an Episcopalian, but there is little difference between them and catholicism. As most know, Jews are “generally” the most liberal folks in the U.S. and catholics stand for absolutely nothing even if they put on some type of pretense. When they sin, a priest simply tells them to say a few penitential prayers and then simply absolves them.

A little sarcasm now. This is where our supposed Christian country has led us?

Can anyone imagine how much our mores have changed in the last 100 years?

Legal date for giving women the right to vote: August 18, 1920,

Legal date for Roe V. Wade: January 22, 1973
