'SPLC's sinister plan has backfired spectacularly'
Justice Tom Parker
Alabamaâs Judicial Inquiry Commission has agreed to pay a $100,000 penalty to lawyers for state Supreme Court Justice Tom Parker, who was investigated at the insistence of the progressive Southern Poverty Law Center for his criticism of same-sex marriage.
âThe SPLCâs sinister plan has backfired spectacularly,â said Horatio Mihet, chief litigation counsel for Liberty Counsel. âThe SPLCâs effort to muzzle Justice Parker has instead brought freedom of expression on critical public issues to all judges in Alabama. We are glad that the JIC has finally seen the proverbial writing on the wall and has abandoned its defense and enforcement of these unconstitutional laws.â
âThis is also a victory for the public because they have a right to hear what judges want to say about important issues, especially during elections. Judges must also be free to speak about past cases when teaching law students in the...
My complaint is to show how evangelicals have corrupted their standards by their support Trump. Trump is just a symptom of a much more serious problem
Phil Johnson wrote: ...America's moral decline has accelerated dramatically since evangelicals became politically aggressive in the late 1970s....
Worst of all, during that same period of time, the evangelical movement has completely lost its spiritual influence, because the evangelical segment of the church has grown increasingly worldly. Evangelicals have become accustomed to compromise. They have abandoned (or else are in the process of abandoning) virtually all the doctrinal distinctives that made them distinct from Roman Catholics and nominal Christians whose faith amounts to a kind of civil religion. Evangelicals have pretty much forfeited whatever real moral and spiritual authority their movement ever had.

What's this country boy, ran out of rational arguments? .

Guest 1, I think Jim,(being the slimy liberal he is) twisted what I said regarding Trumps qualifications, or he might be waiting for his next government check to come through so he can get a public transport bus to his local Walgreens to purchase some more reading spectacles.
Who said trump was a Christian?? Jim. Who said that? Heâs definitely the lesser of the evils . Or I guess youâd rather have hitlery in office. No matter what you say , Christians should be involved in politics. We are in the state we are in because there arenât enough real Christians . America has been sleeping for far too long. The church has been sleeping and so have we. We know America has a spiritual problem. It can only be solved by prayer and electing politicians that reflect Christian values. But we are i the state we are in because of apathy. I said it before and Iâll say it again, wake up Jim. Seriously
Why, Country Boy, we have a sense of humor up North also, but we try to avoid electing our jokes.

Yes, we know all about that business about not bearing false witness in the Ten Commandments, but that was a very long time ago. Canât we get beyond that? Truth and truthiness are overrated. After all, did it really matter that the âbirtherâ nonsense was hokum? Not at all. It enraged those godless liberals and launched our brother in Christ Donald Trump toward the presidency.
And all those websites fact-checking our president, [ e.g. ]]https://tinyurl.com/ycuto2nr (In 497 days, President Trump has made 3,251 false or misleading claims) ] claiming that he told more than 2,000 lies his first year in office? Big deal. Heâs also pro-life, and heâs trying to root out transgender folks in the military, so cut the guy some slack. Besides, that same website that tracks lying concluded that Barack Obama told 28 lies during his two terms in office. So there. (Democrats are such hypocrites!)

Mark 10:42-44 And Jesus called them to him and said to them, You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. ---ESV
Apparently you gentlemen think we need more Christians like Trump in office?
John MacArthur wrote: Many think this is a political problem that will not be solved without a political strategy. During the past twenty-five years, well-meaning Christians have founded a number of evangelical activist organizations and sunk millions of dollars into them in an effort to use the apparatus of politicsâlobbying, legislation, demonstration, and boycottâto counteract the moral decline of American culture....
But is that a proper perspective? I believe not. Americaâs moral decline is a spiritual problem, not a political one, and its solution is the gospel, not partisan politics.

Ok, i gotcha, I appreciate the clarification... You are a complete joke. You have a poor understanding of history. It's because of sheeple like you is the cause the culture is in the state it is today. No real influence on society and no true testimony before the world. By the way, what are the "Moral qualifications" you speak of regarding Roy Moore and Trump?
History proves you wrong Jim. Christians should be involved with politics. And many will agree. The reason why we Are in the mess we are in is because Christians are way too silent. You should be appalled at the direction these politicians are taking this country to. They are taking it to a place where they will even silence you. Wake up
I should have pointed out, which I've done years back, that I don't believe Christians should be in politicsâ I think politics should be left up the Freemasons and Jews.
Neither Trump or Roy Moore could be Masons nor should they have political office. They don't have the moral qualifications âđ
All Dager wrote: ...many of the nation's founding fathers were also Freemasons who used peculiar definitions of Biblical language in asserting their beliefs.
This is not to say that they were not noble men. Freemasons pride themselves in their noble attitudes and adherence to strict moral codes. These are not "evil" men in the classical sense. But they are blinded to the true revelation of God's Word, and their religious philosophy embraces all religions as valid. To be a Freemason, one must believe in a supreme being, but he need not be a Christian....

Jim; Is ever so reflective to this, as many others are, who arenât being conformed & renewed through Christ Alone. As many devoid the importance of Holiness, that God clearly shares with others, in being Holy as He is Holy. As our lives take on the highest level of great importance, as no animal is a Image Barrier of God; Gen 9:6!
Jim; You donât have the ability to change yourself from a spiritual application, nor do you want to, but unless God enables you to do so; Jhn 1:12-13, Jer 13:23, Rom 3:10-12. As no Unverisal Health Care, from a Spiritual application, can remove Your Sin debt, & hatred towards the only means of reconciliation can take place through Jesus Alone. You are spiritually dead, & your only hope is for God to give you life, as God is under zero obligation to give Saving life changing Grace! (Eph 2:4-5).
True mourning over sin, through Godly brokenness is ever so reflective in ones life, when they are having personal encounters with God. In dealing with their sin, in how God views it amen! (2 Cor 7:8-10)
Ok Jim, so are we supposed to sit back and not have any effect on the politics and culture of our time? There are extremes of reconstructionism that I disagree with (not paying taxes) for example. But are you saying that conservative leaders are in sin if they let their faith guide their decisions?
