An Evangelical Journalist Finds His Calling at the White House

It was the morning after another breathtaking revelation about President Trump and a $130,000 payment to a pornographic film actress, and dozens of reporters crowded into the White House Rose Garden, seeking answers. When one of them shouted a question about the payment, the president simply walked away.

Standing nearby, on a ceremonial balcony overlooking the West Wing, was another reporter, David Brody, waiting for a private interview with Vice President Mike Pence.

Mr. Brody, the chief political correspondent for the Christian Broadcasting Network, was not there to inquire about porn stars. It was the National Day of Prayer, and Mr. Brody asked the vice president whether he was tired of defending his anti-abortion views amid “potshots” from comedians, and whether prayer was “alive and well in the White House.” He inquired whether Mr. Pence would attend the opening of the American embassy in ...

Pat Robertson is the founder and President of Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN). He maintains a low profile among the more militant Reconstructionists, although Rushdoony and North have appeared a number of times on Robertson's 700 Club television program. Also, professing Reconstructionist Joseph Kickasola teaches in (Robertson-founded) Regent University's School of Public Policy; the dean of the Schools of Law and Public Policy was Herbert Titus, though not a Reconstructionist himself, has said the school used six or seven Rushdoony and North titles for textbooks; and Regent University board chair Mrs. Dee Jepson is a longtime COR (an organization with a Reconstructionist agenda) Steering Committee member. In turn, Reconstructionists cite Robertson's creation of a television network and Regent University as a model of effective Christian organization.

John Y., It might be better than CBN.

However, the examples from the New Testament shows that these people did believe in Jesus, they may not have had the full picture of him but they knew he was somebody special.
Fox News is the greatest news channel around because it is the conservative news channel.

Factual Reporting: MIXED

Notes: The Christian Broadcasting Network was founded by Christian televangelist Pat Robertson in 1961. Its best known for the show called the The 700 Club, which features Pat Robertson making extreme right wing and conspiratorial claims. For example, Pat Robertson claims that natural disasters occur due to gay immoral acts. The actual news broadcast on CBN has a very far right bias in reporting and also delves into right wing conspiracies. Anything heard on the CBN or the 700 Club needs to be ]]fact checked.... (3/24/2017)

God has filled his world with things suggestive of himself, that is it is a constant reminder to people that this is God's world. These unbelievers see a little of the light, and respond and God answers. Nobody becomes a believer in a single moment, God has to draw them in, usually by an answer to their prayer, little by little. But clearly, biblically as shown in my post below, he does answer the prayers of unbelievers. I does not matter how I feel about God blessing undeserving unbelievers who later never believe in Him, what matters is that the Bible says it's true and it does happen.

How do you pray to someone (something) that you don’t believe in? How do you know what (it) is?

I believe God does answer prayers of unbelievers:

Here are some passages dealing with prayer by an unbeliever:

The people of Nineveh prayed that Nineveh might be spared (Jonah 3:5-10). God answered this prayer and did not destroy the city of Nineveh as He had threatened.

Hagar asked God to protect her son Ishmael (Genesis 21:14-19). God not only protected Ishmael, God blessed him exceedingly.

In 1 Kings 21:17-29, especially verses 27-29, Ahab fasts and mourns over Elijah's prophecy concerning his posterity. God responds by not bringing about the calamity in Ahab's time.

The Gentile woman from the Tyre and Sidon area prayed that Jesus would deliver her daughter from a demon (Mark 7:24-30). Jesus cast the demon out of the woman’s daughter.

Cornelius, the Roman centurion in Acts 10, had the apostle Peter sent to him in response to Cornelius being a righteous man. Acts 10:2 tells us that Cornelius “prayed to God regularly.”

These state-sanctioned ecumenical prayer events, are ignored by God--]] (Does God answer the prayers of unbelievers?) from which John MacArthur gives 15 reasons why God doesn't listen to people's prayers - - with Bible verses
John MacArthur wrote:
... God does not answer the prayer of those:

1) Who have personal and selfish motives....
2) Who regard iniquity in their hearts....
3) Who remain in sin....
4) Who offer unworthy service to God....
5) Who forsake God....
6) Who reject God's call....
7) Who will not heed God's law....
8) Who turn a deaf ear to the cry of the poor....
9) Who are violent....
10) Who worship idols....
11) Who have no faith....
12) Who are living in hypocrisy....
13) Who are proud of heart....
14) Who are self-righteous....
15) Who mistreat God's people....

.... Thus we can safely say that, in general, God does not answer the prayers of an unbeliever.

Since the National Day of Prayer is antithetical to Christianity this reporter should have left it up to Fox News to ask Pence about this.---unless he was going to ask why is the White House participating in this sin?

NY Times article excellent!
