North Korea says it will dismantle nuclear test site before Trump meets with Kim Jong Un
North Korea said Saturday that it will dismantle its nuclear test site in less than two weeks, in a dramatic event that would set up leader Kim Jong Un's summit with President Donald Trump next month.
In a statement carried by state media, North Korea's Foreign Ministry said that all of the tunnels at the country's northeastern testing ground will be destroyed by explosion, and that observation and research facilities and ground-based guard units will also be removed.
Kim had already revealed plans to shut down the test site by the end of May during his summit with South Korean President Moon Jae-in last month. Analysts say that while the closure of the site is important, it doesn't represent a material step toward full denuclearization....

Recent "unbridled remarks" from Washington prior to the June 12 meeting constituted signs of "unjust" behavior, Kim Kye Gwan stated.
Specifically naming National Security Advisor John Bolton, the North Korean minister said U.S. officials are "letting loose the assertions of so-called Libya mode of nuclear abandonment" and discussing a formula of "abandoning nuclear weapons first [and] compensating afterwards."
That amounts to "awfully sinister" moves to impose on North Korea "the destiny of Libya or Iraq, which had been collapsed due to yielding the whole of their countries to big powers," the minister said, stressing that Pyongyang rejects Libya-style denuclearization....

If this were a significant change, then, North Korea should destroy the existing nukes, and release all of your political prisoners, tear down your gulags and have free elections . Then , and only then, will the Koreans be safe. But, it is highly doubtful any of this will occur, as everyone thinks success is when everyone look good and seems to be winning.
I'm sure many are wondering the same, and I wonder if he has a trick up his little, rocket man sleeve. My guess is the extreme sanctions if he doesn't comply, which would dessimate their economy. Up until now, he's considered the US, and every President, a joke. In the past, we would buy him off to thwart his madman threats, and calm him down...it was a big game, but now, he knows that Trump means business, and is as crazy as he is as far as following through with his own threats. Releasing three hostages, crossing over the DMZ, shaking hands and speaking with the other Korea's President, even with the usual pop music blaring...definately steps in the right direction, and unpresidented, yet, has Trump received any credit? Nope. Will he be awarded a Nobel peace prize like his predecessor did for merely uttering a few words while campaigning? Nope. The liberal left=hipocrites and little babys.
