Chinese city orders Christian residents to register with government
Local authorities in a city in China's central Henan province has reportedly told Christians and other religious residents to register with the government.

According to China Aid, all residents with religious beliefs in the city of Anyang have been instructed to register with the government.

An officer at the Pingyuan Neighborhood Committee noted that believers have been told to bring their "household registration and ID card."

"Fill out a form, fill in your name, birth date, address, religious background, when you converted, the religious background of your family members, etc," the officer said, as reported by China Aid. ...

Yes there are tares as well as wheat in nearly all churches, whether in China or elsewhere.

However, Youth in Asia must stop spouting the Communist lies of the authorities in China, and discounting every single house Church in China.

Yes, I am sure there are some true believers in the officially state approved "Three Self Patriotic" churches, but the whole organisation is dominated and controlled rigidly by the Chinese Communist Party.

Pastors and elders must be approved by them, sermons must be submitted to them, with certain subjects being banned, any form of evangelism outside the church is totally illegal, and young people under 18 are not allowed to go to these churches, and no children's or young peoples activities are allowed.

That, Youth in Asia, is why there is an Underground Church, the very Church you are suspicious of.

....They will often simply preach their own denomination’s viewpoint without giving a fair and objective perspective. What happens? The believers simply mold to that denomination and do not think for themselves.
Another problem is that some missionaries minister to meet their own needs. That is, a missionary comes to build his own church. He gathers believers who revolve around him rather than helping believers give themselves to the Chinese church. As a result, when he leaves, many believers go astray and are dejected. Or, they become an isolated church disconnected from other bodies of believers.

An interview from a local pastor on foreigners:
Do you know how foreigners could really help the Chinese church? People need standardized theological training. I want to see foreigners publish deeper, theological literature that goes beyond topics like leadership, prayer, marriage, and family. Additionally, Chinese people need to develop the ability to think critically, instead of accepting wholesale everything their denomination says and opposing the different views of other denominations. They need the humility to realize that not all of their denominations‚Äô views may be correct. ‚ÄúDifferent‚ÄĚ does not automatically mean wrong. I want to see them listen to each other with humble and open atti- tudes, even being willing to cooperate and serve together. Foreigners can help equip Chinese churches to go out and spread the Gospel to other countries and peoples.
Some missionaries who come to China are not well equipped for the work. Perhaps, they are just average churchgoers who were driven by love and dedication to share the gospel in China. That love is, of course, valuable, but because they lack formal training, they are limited in language, theology, and various other aspects related to their mission. They will often simply preach their own denomination’s viewpoint without giving

american churches registered themselves for filthy mammon a long time ago.

see if the FED and the IRS are the "head of the church"

the russian communists were way to overt about it.

why come in with boots when you can come in with incentives?

is this why cultural marxism is taking over the seminaries now?

And nobody knows what these house churches believe, ChinaAid wants you to think that these are somehow "conservative, and Protestant minded theology worshipers", but it's not always the truth. Infact their theology often is evil, ChinaAid wants to train your brain, that every time you hear "house church" they are Christian. I meet more believers, real sacrificial believers from the 3 self church than from any house church.

Article says:
"In the past two months, the government banned all Catholic churches and (Protestant) house churches, and that didn't happen to any other religions"

I just visited a catholic seminary and met the students there, and I often visit the Bible school in my area. There are hundreds of churches in one city, with thousands of people attending. I hate ChinaAid, their worldview is not biblical, they never provide any proof, they could go and interview the pastors and the locals about this, but they never do. In my opinion their end goal is to usher in a Liberal Democracy in china, it's a political group that uses ignorant Christians and their support money. Go read the article and clearly it's a propaganda piece!

So, it is not enough that churches must register with the guv, it is individuals now. Sinister.
