North Korea announces end to missile testing as Trump cites 'big progress'
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced Friday that his country will be suspending missile testing and closing a nuclear test site, several reports said.
"From April 21, North Korea will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles," the Korean Central News Agency said, according to Yonhap News. "The North will shut down a nuclear test site in the country's northern side to prove the vow to suspend nuclear test."
The announcement comes amid preparations for a meeting later this year between President Trump and the North Korean dictator. During the summit, Trump said he expected to talk with Kim about denuclearizing the hermit kingdom....

...While the North Korean government allows a few formal, state-controlled religious groups, the CIA World Factbook reports that these groups “exist to provide an illusion of religious freedom,” and that independent religious activity is “almost nonexistent” in the country. North Korea “curtails all basic human rights,” according to Human Rights Watch, and religious freedom is no exception....

Kim Jong Un has been going on a charm offensive, lately. How much Trump will get out of it, remains to be seen. I think the North Koreans will make it big flourish for giving away very little.
It will be interesting to see if the North Korean government looks of a kinder eye on such activities as the following:
BBC wrote: Activists in South Korea say they are providing "a lifeline" to their neighbours in the North in the form of plastic bottles filled with food, medicine and USB sticks carrying entertainment.
They gather fortnightly on Ganghwa island near the border to throw the bottles containing aid into the sea, which are then carried across to the North by the tide.
It is not clear how many of the bottles reach their intended recipients.

I am really honored that you would consider something that I wrote that long ago to be of value, even to the point of saving it on your laptop. I like-wise really appreciated your insights on the forums. I really miss the days when we could discuss various doctrinal issues on the SermonAudio forums. While I do still glance through the news article headings I seldom find time or interest in perusing the articles themselves or the comments made. I do often come across John UK and I am glad for that. It does bring back fond memories. I suppose if we were still allowed a forum for doctrinal debate, they couldn't keep us away from commenting. Perhaps they could do something for MEMBERS ONLY... That would narrow down the abuse.
Hope you are well and that God has prospered you! I am doing good. Still working at 67, and grandfather to seven grandsons - and one on the way, gender unknown. Will be retiring in another year and a half.
Please pardon my memory, but didn't you have a website of your artwork or photography?
My email address is: email@example.com if you want to chat offsite.

Yes! Just heading out the door. Will chat later. Thanks!
