Engine Explodes on Southwest Air Flight

A passenger has died from injuries suffered aboard the Southwest Airlines jet that was forced to make an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport today after an engine exploded, authorities said.

The passenger has been identified as Jennifer Riordan, of Albuquerque, N.M., who worked as a vice president of community relations at Wells Fargo Bank. The company confirmed her death. Officials with the National Transportation Safety Review Board and Philadelphia Fire Department confirmed Riordan’s death, but declined to elaborate on her injuries. Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel said she had been hospitalized in critical condition after the jet landed. Thiel said seven other people aboard were treated at the airport for minor injuries.

Flight 1380 departed from New York and was bound for Dallas, but was forced to make an 11:20 a.m. emergency landing at PHL after one of the jet’s engines ...

Jesus according to Muhammad was a prophet but not God. I don't know who Shirk is. I never heard of Shirk before.

Where did John go on "easter" Sunday? John Yurich refuses to give his practice of participating in Mass up must be for one reason, he believes to do so would condemn his mortal soul to hell. John, guess what, that is not Baptist doctrine. That part of Mass where you partake of that which the priest says has been transubstantiated is not Scriptural it is blasphemous. Your consumption means that to state you only participate in the "Scriptural" parts of mass is an outright lie.
I don't believe in mortal and venial sins. I only believe there is only one type of sin and that is sin. I totally reject and repudiate the doctrine of transubstantiation. That is why when I receive the bread and chalice of wine I don't state "Amen" because that would be acknowledging the doctrine of transubstantiation. I believe that I am just receiving bread and wine. I miss Mass a lot on purpose.

Indeed. So often we fail to "walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time" {Colossians 4:5}. Thanks for your comment.

I always use the illustration of having a built in timer. It counts down continually and we all have a different amount of time. When will my timer run out? I don't know. So why would I waste my time on frivolous events and past-times? I watch Christians going sky-diving, surfing and other ridiculous wastes of time, and I say, what if you died in the middle of this "fun"? Is that how you want God to see you? Or spreading the Gospel and being alight?

I know we are all guilty of this, but I am also preaching to myself as well.

Religion: John Y stumbles upon the Book of Romans

After studying the Baptist Confession of Faith, John Y was perplexed when it cited the Book of Romans. "Hmm, I wonder what they are talking about " said John Y. Curiously wondering what this ancient book was, he went looking for his Bible to see if there was a book of Romans in there.

He found his bible, and quickly looked at the table of contents, and found the page number, and proceeded to find such a book. He was in sore confusion when he found out that the Book of Romans didn't say anything about the Roman soldiers, but rather it was filled with sound theological discourse on every page.

"Whoa, this is more serious than I thought...for all have sinned? For the wages of sin is death...What!? How can Christ's work possibly justify me without Mass, Baptist doctrine, my pastor, and the deacons?"

At publishing time, John Y accidentally stumbled upon the book of Galatians.

It's like some prisoner sitting in prison for half his life then someone comes along and unlocks the door and let him go free. Then this prisoner spends the rest of his days telling everyone that he set himself free. He saved himself. He did it.

Biblically saved Christians know that they cannot save themselves. Only God can wrought a miracle like that. That's the difference, and John just can't see it.

saves nobody. It is simply putting confidence in the flesh. You won't find another testimony of a person's salvation where it is attributed to doctrinal beliefs.
A very telling statement John Yurich
