Comey Shocker: Admits He Might Have Let Hillary Skate on Emails Because He Thought She’d Win
Former FBI director James Comey (shown) has been making the media rounds virtue-signaling with his new book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership. But it turns out that his real loyalty might have been to career advancement: In a little-noted admission, Comey reveals in his book that he might have declined to prosecute Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information because he believed she’d be the next president.

This revelation may be more damning than anything Comey claims about President Trump. As American Thinker editor Monica Showalter points out about the latter, Comey “natters on about Trump’s hand size, the bags under his eyes, his tie being too long, and other stylistics that mark Comey as a vain little man obsessed with looks, little different from David Brooks and his fascination with the crease of President Obama’s pant legs.” ...

If the "rule of law" is so vital, Jim, as Inspector Clouseau--er, I mean Director Comey--claims, then why didn't he keep his oath and enforce it? Just another crooked cop on the take.

John MacArthur wrote:
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Gal. 6:10; cf. Titus 3:1-2). It would also display a lack of gratitude for whatever amount of religious freedom the government allows us to enjoy. Furthermore, such pious apathy toward government and politics would reveal a lack of appreciation for the many appropriate legal remedies believers in democracies have for maintaining or improving the civil order. A certain amount of healthy and balanced concern with current trends in government and the community is acceptable, as long as we realize that that interest is not vital to our spiritual growth, our righteous testimony, or the advancement of the kingdom of Christ. Above all, the believer’s political involvement should never displace the priority of preaching and teaching the gospel.

Or as James Comey put it:
ABC News Radio wrote:
...I hope people read the book and see why the rule of law is such an important value in this country, and key to that is that the president doesn't get to decide who goes to jail,...

...That is not normal, ....That is not OK. First of all, he's just making stuff up. But, most importantly, the president of the United States is calling for the imprisonment of a private citizen, as he's done for a whole lot of people who criticize him. That is not acceptable in this country....

"the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9

It's of no use to attempt to exalt one unregenerate over another, for Comey, Trump and Clinton all bear fruit that testifies they are dead in trespasses and sin. These power hungry, wealthy sinners bite and devour each other, lie, cover up, and do what it takes to make the other person look bad. God will judge them for what is in their own hearts, not the hearts of others.

Politics cannot save sinners, nor can it please the most High God, for politics are filled with vile, wicked sinners vying for control, desiring their agendas to be enforced, and slandering each other along the way. Sin is rampant in the hearts of unregenerate men and women.

America's only hope is not a Republican, a Democrat, or an Independent.
It is the thrice holy, eternal, righteous Son of God, and He will come again. His coming will be imminent. Meanwhile, many are too caught up in the things of this world, like politics, and take no time to examine themselves. They are not ready for Christ to come, and will not be ready when He does. Their 'god' is found in this world, and that 'god' cannot save.

You must be born again, or you will never 'see' 'hear' 'understand'

I would suggest you look at the video for this one since it does give a good of job as anything explaining about the Clinton email in Comey's own words.
ABC Radio News wrote:

The interview will air during a primetime ABC News special on Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.

David Brooks wrote:
...from what I have read of the book and the excerpts, it passes the smell test. One important moment for me was his description of his handling of the Clinton e-mails.

And now he says, my goal consciously wasn’t to let politics influence my decision. But he allows — and this is him showing some vulnerability — he allows the possibility that the thought of her winning election and then having the e-mail investigation come out might seem illegitimate to people.

And he [Comey] didn’t want her to be elected and then something new comes out right after the election. He thought that might hurt the institution of the presidency. And so he allows that that possibility could have had some unconscious influence on him....

I wouldn’t call that a shocker, more like a no brainer. He chose to compromise out of fear.

David Brooks wrote:
Well, I think President Trump has done a pretty good job of confirming everything Comey said by his tweets today....

...["A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership." ]I think it’s aptly titled. One of the things we see in this book is a guy who is like, frankly, a lot of people who work in government in Washington as part of the career civil service, that their loyalty is not to red and blue. And we’re used to covering politics as a red and blue tribal war....

...And he’s offended Democrats mightily. He’s offended the Republican president mightily. And I think he passes the smell test, by and large. And I so think he’s honest that it could — it’s quite possible that Donald Trump didn’t do anything criminal here, but did do something mafioso-like. And that’s, frankly, not a completely new revelation....
