Biblical prophecy claims the Rapture is coming April 23, numerologist says

Is the Rapture finally here? One Christian numerologist says a biblical sign strongly suggests it.

David Meade tells the U.K.'s Daily Express newspaper that on April 23, the sun and moon will be in Virgo, as will Jupiter, which represents the Messiah.

For a certain branch of evangelical Christianity, Revelation 12:1–2 describes the beginning of what is known as the Rapture and the second coming of Christ.

The passage reads: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of 12 stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.” ...

Isn't the eschatology monster that weird turtle thing that comes out of the volcano and tries to destroy Tokyo? Then Godzilla wakes up all grumpy because his 1000 year hibernation was disturbed and destroys Eschatology with his morning breath? I think Dr. Tim would know more about this than me though as he deals in this sort of thing on a daily basis.

This forum is an extremely poor place to try and prove or disprove a particular rapture position. I know from the past that the opinions run the gamut of possibilities. Much depends on the hermeneutics that someone uses. Some take things literally and others take those same things figuratively.

Now for the sake of disclosure, I will give my positions. I believe in a post-tribulation rapture and a pre-millennial reign of Christ. I am ready and willing to argue the rapture position, but not my millennial thoughts. I am stating this in case there are others who share the post-tribulation position but are reluctant to say this publicly. Intimidation does in fact exist on a forum such as this.

So, if anyone wants to discuss my rapture position, my email is available to them. I wrote a 25 page meditation on that subject, so my thoughts are readily available.

Yes indeed. Love for everyone is waning. Self reigns supreme in the hearts of most people these days. Even in the church, I find people will think of themselves and grumble when they have to go outside of themselves and sacrifice. The sacrificial love of Christ Jesus is foreign to most these days.

The great falling away is just that, an apostasy. You can't be an apostate unless you're saved, IMO. To be apostate means you fall away from the truth. Sinners can't do this. I have read this tripe on more than one occasion. Looking at the body of Christ today, wouldn't you say that there's definitely a falling away occurring?

thomas ice the spokesman quoted 2thess2:3

he does lectures talking about the rapture and then opens using that verse...

...so go read that verse and tell me if that's about a rapture or a great falling awy....

...so there you have it...what dispenationslists call their rapture is their great falling away...

...unless there comes a great "apostasy" then comes the man of perdition...

...there's youre timeline of events....

first -- they fall away

second --- son of perdition

Okay, you bring up a good point. There may be believers during the millennial reign who have not yet received glorified bodies and would presumably receive them at the second resurrection.

John for JESUS wrote:
If believers don't die during the millennial reign of Christ and they are all raised together (the dead in Christ first and then those who remain), how would there be any believers left to raise the second time?
John,

Where is it written that believers don't die during the mil reign? Believers even die and sinners are accursed during the new heaven and earth (Is 65:20). (The third heaven, paradise, is our eternal abode.) If mil dwellers had not heard the gospel before the reign, are not their mortal bodies still in Adam even after their conversion in the mil reign just as ours are now? Can flesh and blood inherit the kingdom of God during the mil reign? If not, they must die and be raised again to life eternal and incorruptible as Paul taught:

1 Cor 15:36ff That which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain....So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

That is, unless you can provide scripture which teaches mil reign converts are immediately transformed into glorified bodies upon their conversion.

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation 20:6

I don't think I have read into the passage at all. Verse 6 goes on to say blessed and holy is the one who is part of the first resurrection. Why are they blessed and holy?
Because the second death, eternal damnation, has no power over them. If believers don't die during the millennial reign of Christ and they are all raised together (the dead in Christ first and then those who remain), how would there be any believers left to raise the second time?

Unless I'm reading this wrong, the first resurrection is when all of the dead in Christ are raised with new glorified bodies. If you are not a part of the first resurrection, you are not saved. After the 1,000 reign of Christ will be the second resurrection where all unbelievers who have died will be raised.

Respectully, John, you are reading into the text that which is not there. You assume glorified bodies are received at this timeline. It doesn't say or imply that those who were not raised at the first resurrection were condemned unbelievers. If they were, why not cast them into the lake of fire with the beast and false prophet? What purpose would be served for God to delay their just judgment if indeed they were condemned?

However, it does say "the rest of the dead lived not again"... Lived, John. Biblically, to live is to be quickened by the Holy Spirit.

Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:4‭-‬5

Unless I'm reading this wrong, the first resurrection is when all of the dead in Christ are raised with new glorified bodies. If you are not a part of the first resurrection, you are not saved. After the 1,000 reign of Christ will be the second resurrection where all unbelievers who have died will be raised.
