Most Pastors Say Their Churches Never Discipline Members for Sinful Misconduct
Protestant churches in the United States rarely reprimand their members for misconduct as a survey indicates that more than half of pastors say they don't know of an instance in which their church has disciplined a member.

LifeWay Research unveiled a new poll Thursday in which over 1,000 Protestant senior pastors, ministers and priests were interviewed about their church's handling of formal discipline. The responses were weighed by region to reflect population. The sampling size includes a 3.2-percentage-point margin of error.

When asked over the phone when the last time their church formally disciplined a member, 55 percent of pastors said that "a member has not been formally disciplined since I came as pastor nor prior as far as I know." ...

My Baptist Church is an orthodox denomination because it is a bible-based church that has the Bible as the final authority for doctrine and Pastor preaches the biblical Gospel of salvation every Sunday in his sermon. Worship services were cancelled today at my Baptist Church because of the Blizzard that occurred yesterday into this morning. This is the first time since I have been attending my Baptist Church that worship services were cancelled. I am not trusting in the Elders and Deacons for affirmation and assurance of my justification and sanctification. I had to get the approval of the Elders to become a member of my Baptist Church by my demonstrating that I am truly saved. Jesus death and resurrection gave mankind a way of receiving salvation.

I made a mistake. I meant to state I am not promoting. When I stated fruitcakes that meant homosexuals. I am not an atheist. Atheism is totally illogical. I am a Born Again Baptist by reason of having accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I am accepted as being saved by my Baptist Pastor, the Elders, Deacons and the other members of my Baptist Church.

John Y; Spurgeon calls you out!; Why, these are sham Christians; they aren’t genuine Christians; they are of the
world, & do the things of the world. We may conclude that their hearts & natures
are worldly, for if they were spiritual they would love spiritual things, & their
hearts would be engaged in spiritual exercises.

Without the Lord Holiness, being imputed to One, as He has called His people to be Holy as He was. Through His imputed Righteousness, John Y. One isn’t prepared to die in a fallen state of active rebellion against Christ amen!

Recollect that every man who is only born once will have to die twice; 1 Jhn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, & walk in darkness, we lie & don’t practice the truth.

Jhn 3:18,36 “He who believes in Him isn’t condemned; but he who doesn’t believe is condemned already, because he hasn’t believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; & he who doesn’t believe the Son shall n’t see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Actually, if you think about it, there are no such things as atheists. An atheist is nothing more than a rebellious rogue who hates God and strives against Him on a daily basis. I think it's these rebels who introduced satanic fruitcakes to the world. I mean, what can be more nefarious than a fruitcake? Those things are indestructible and indigestible. Ugh!

"And ye WILL not come to me, that ye might have life." yes, and why was this said? Was Christ stating the 'will' has the ability to either come or not come?
This is why we must search His word for the entire truth, not cherry pick a verse here or there and base a theology upon that. Christ knew sinners would not come, they never do. Why?
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3
The sin nature prevents any sinner from ever coming to Christ, the love of sin, the refusal to have sin brought into the light, the bondage of sin....these all prevent any sinner from ever coming on their own 'free will'. "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." John 8:34
'The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it?' Jeremiah 17:9
What does the 'heart' mean? Short definition 'inner man, mind, will, heart'. The 'will' is deceitful etc. How can such a 'will' make a spiritual choice? Is God sovere

I am promoting false doctrines and a false hope. I am only promoting the Baptist doctrine of salvation. My Baptist Church Statement of Faith promotes the biblical doctrine of salvation and states that the Bible is the only authority for doctrines. My Baptist Pastor preaches the biblical Gospel of salvation every Sunday in his sermon. Look up the website of my Baptist Church at www.rolchastings.org to find out for yourself that my Baptist Church is a bible-based church.

Nadab and Abihu
Leviticus 10:1-3 records a sobering account of Aaron’s two oldest sons – Nadab & Abihu. The Lord had been clear concerning the way in which offerings were to be made (Lev. 1:1-7:38). However, these two men approached the Lord in a manner that violated God’s standard. They flippantly & foolishly offered “strange fire” while possibly being drunk (cf. Lev. 10:8-11). The issue here was that these men ignored God’s standard & came to Him in their own style. Such conduct ended in sudden destruction (Lev. 10:2). To learn about an example & evaluation of a contemporary form of offering “strange fire”

The power of self-deception bares witness to all on this forum John Y, your false profession of faith, doesn’t take the Lord by surprise. As only the Lord can bring you to the dier need of humility that you are devoid of. As your heart & mind aren’t reflective of one, who is pressing themselves into the Word, to bare witness of Good fruit being sowed into their lives amen.

Spurgeon; There are too many of our converts about; we may find them everywhere except in
heaven; but woe unto the man who is content with being the convert of his
fellow-man!

Spurgeon; I loathe to hear our true Lord praised by false lips. They deny the doctrines which he taught, & yet prate about believing him. It’s a shallow trick, but yet it deceives
shallow souls.

John Y; With all due respect towards you, this quote by Spurgeon, A Reformed Baptist Preacher, know as the Prince of Preachers. Fits you like OJ Gloves; Repentance & faith are distasteful to the unregenerate; they would sooner repeat a
thousand formal prayers than shed a solitary tear of true repentance.

My Pastor, John Y; Robotic response here, as the Spurgeon Quote, is so fitting for you John Y. Spurgeon; Many professors only keep upright because they stand in a row, & derive support
from their associations

I can understand how sinful man bucks against the truth of God's word, but to see a Christian doing the same is truly sad.
