Catholic Brownback Condemns Venezuela President for Calling Catholic Leaders 'Bishops of Satan'

Brownback, a Republican who left his Kansas post when he was confirmed as the new State Department ambassador at-large for international religious freedom in January, spoke at the headquarters of the conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation in Washington on Friday during a conference focusing on the genocide of Christians.

While Brownback touched on various religious freedom issues across the globe, he devoted some time in his speech to touch on the situation happening in Venezuela.

"We have seen president Maduro attack the leaders of the Catholic Church for pointing out the obvious," Brownback warned during his speech. "The leaders are saying, 'Look, we lack food and we can't get a hold of medicine.' For that, Maduro is calling them the 'Bishops of Satan' and attacking the Catholic Church for stating the obvious." ...

I don't believe that conservative Catholic Popes, Cardinals, Bishops and Priests are saved because most of them have not given their lives over to Jesus as their Lord and Savior. There are some Priests who have embraced Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

If a Pope, Bishop or Priest teaches that there is no Hell or supports abortion and homosexuality then they are not conservative.

Tragically, as stated by other commentators here, the whole Papacy is a corrupt system.

The Traditionalist Catholics are in a deep hole, because in 1870, as the Italian Nationalists were closing in to conquer the Papal States of Central and Southern Italy, and unify Italy as a single broadly secular kingdom, and seal the Pope up in a small section of Rone, subsequently called the Vatican City, (which was only released in 1920 or so, when Mussolini signed a deal with the Pope for him to recognise Italy, and the loss of his Papal States), Pope Pius IX, forced through the formal recognition of the dogma in the 1st Vatican Council, that the Pope is infallible in all matters of faith and conduct when he makes a pronouncement from St Peter's Chair in the Vatican.

This forces Traditionalist Catholics to either accept the liberal Pope Francis I with clenched teeth, or posssibly join one of the few small "Sedevacantist" groups, (no valid Pope after Pius XII in the 1950's and rejecting the 2nd Vatican Council), or perhaps the SSPX Society, which sort of accepts the modern Papacy, but works outside the Catholic Church, keeping traditional practices.

What these sad folks don't know is that they need to reject the whole system, read the Bible, the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God, b

Don't kid yourself, JY. Catholicism is satanic all the way from the pope to the pew. If you keep on stiffening your neck, God is going to bust your head--Psalm 68:21 (King Tim Version).

'Look, we lack food and we can't get a hold of medicine.' Uh, yeah, that tends to happen under communist dictatorships, which are a common outgrowth of socialism. Is this what you want for the U.S., Jim?

Putting aside the real problems that all evangelical Protestants should have with the Roman Catholic Church, what we are dealing with here are the two separate sides of Catholicism.

They both hold to the wrong doctrines of transubstantiation in the Mass, priests, confession and absolution, veneration of saints and more particularly the Virgin Mary, salvation by grace through faith plus works, indulgences, Purgatory, etc., etc. These were the same doctrines that were rightly condemned at the Protestant Reformation.

However, the two sides diverge here. The ones that President Maduro of Venezuela is attacking are no doubt the more pre-Vatican 2 Catholics who actually uphold the moral positions of the Catholic Church against abortion, divorce, and for heterosexual marriage, as well as the basic doctrines of the Trinity and the Creeds, and who are no friends of Socialism or Communism.

He is rather more comfortable with the renegade Jesuits and socialist "Liberation Theologians" that are rife in Latin America, and which, by the way, Pope Francis himself is more comfortable with, as he (Pope Francis), is a Jesuit Liberation Theologian himself!!

Jim, I would like you to answer my question, here's what you said:

Jim wrote, "I'm against abortion but I don't take the official Catholic position which all too many Protestants have done to become a slave to the Romish Church"

With that reasoning Jim, I assume that you don't hold to the teaching of monotheism, and the Trinity, because I'm pretty sure that Protostants and Catholics would give a very similar answer regarding the issues, and who wants to be a slave of Rome?

And Jim, I don't think you're a Calvinist, you're a synergist, so using you're own reasoning, you yourself are a slave of Rome because the Catholic Church holds to a synergistic view of salvation.

If you lived in Luther's day, you would be on Rome's side during the Reformation.

Central American catholic bishops and priests have cheered the growth of the communist stronghold on other countries as a positive moment in history. Pope Francis has a sympathetic communist viewpoint. So, the Catholic Church has their communist leader in Venezuela. Maduro is a strong man, ignoring the needs of his countrymen, telling them ,” the Maduro diet makes men strong and women attractive. The communist country of Venezuela is a Catholic fantasy made reality. One man rule, slavishly worshiped, and rotting from within.

Did not read the article.

Whenever a catholic attacks another catholic, I simply look at it this way.

The enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend. In other words, I could care less and will give them no credence.

Free & great Unversial Healthcare Jim, the Comrades of Venezuela, provide for one, Jim. As the Comrades know how to provide Death Care, to its people who, aren’t the 1% of the Socialist Dictatorship of the population. Just like they do in Cuba, no wonder why these 2 countries Dictatorship leaders over the years have been in bed with one another.

I guess at least the Venezuelan president can be right about one thing. He's completely correct about Catholic Bishops❗. I really doubt that Venezuelan Bishops are any different from https://tinyurl.com/ybxqcr6l (America’s Catholic Bishops) and of course all Bishops are priests--http://tinyurl.com/jxxqg8e (The Scandal of the Catholic Priesthood)

Reading the article, we just have two obnoxious groups attacking each other. I suppose the writer wants us, to say "The enemy of our enemy is our friend."👎
