University proposes elimination of majors such as English, history
The University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point is reportedly discussing a plan to eliminate 13 majors including English, philosophy, history and Spanish.
The campus â one of 11 campuses in the University of Wisconsin system â would instead focus on programs that have "clear career pathways," The Washington Post reported.
Under the proposal, the school would expand areas such as marketing, management, graphic design and computer information systems â areas that "have demonstrated value and demand in the region," according to the school....
Back to the original thread, I'm glad to see useless majors eliminated. Wouldn't bother me if they get rid of a few useless lieutenant colonels while they're at it.

He never responds. He just comes on here and spouts off his garbage and goes into hiding. He talks about Pharisees yet he is the one who wants to establish his own RIGTHEOUSNESS which is of the Law just like the Pharisees. I think he just comes on here to bother the brethren, God forbid he ever lures away disciples after himself. Sad thing is his silly video has a whole bunch of views and even some likes! All the points he disagrees with are the points where the natural man loves to glory in. If I had a Facebook I would go and post some stuff on his page pointing out his error.

Where is the verse in Matthew 18 that supports what you just claimed above? The way you just interpreted Matthew 18 was a joke, you just were a false witness to Jesus. Do you know what humble means? Your comments donât sound like it.
I watched your video It was like watching a two year old smashing words together to make a sentence. If they speak not according to this word it is because their is no light in them? Why donât you stick around and discuss these issues instead of throwing a temper tantrum and storming off?
If we are so wrong shouldnât you reason with us from the scripture like Paul did in Acts? I donât think you are able to discuss the Bible seriously without looking absolutely silly. Cherry picking verses is not wise!
My personal opinion is your a Deceitful worker and are deluded and donât even know it. 2 Cor 11 matches you perfect! You are an example of how true the Bible is!
You stated, âyou shouldn't show respect of persons to pin-up boy preachers like MacArthur, piper, Washer and James White, who are all liars with no truth in them . . . 95% of the content on this site is all trash, . . . based on the fallacies of Reform Theology.
. . . The lies of Calvinism, Eternal Security, not of works, . . . Reform Theology is nothing more than Roman Catholicism repackaged . . . Luther was a flaming heretic, . . . you are all Catholics, and PHARISEES, immersed in the doctrines of men and demons. Augustine is the father of you all and Augustine was a devil.
Whilst typing this I opened my Bible at random and these words leapt out of the page:â
Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known (Luke 12: 1,2).
You responded to Jason Cooleyâs sermon âBreastplate of Righteousness â Imputedâ with âRighteousness is neither imparted or imputed. Righteousness is simply what you do:â Is he your pastor? Does he have it all correct? Regardless, the world could use a reformer. A reformer such as yourself. Seems like the world needs to hear what you have to say. You could be the next BG in popularity. Think about it!
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
You have to wonder how anyone works around such simplicity.
1 John 5:10-12 KJV (10)Â He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (11)Â And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (12)Â He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
As you say, Christopher, it is crystal clear.
The message of God to this world regarding eternal life is The Person of His Son, and nothing else.
Once Collin, or whoever he/she is, is convicted by the Holy Ghost of having committed multiple atrocities, including lying to the saints here, he will need to ponder on the above text until he realises his great need of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I agree Chris,
This young man, Collin Retkowski aka Lie Detector, has gravitated to a works based righteousness and salvation. Who knows why but it seems certain he is settled and trying to reason with him won't work.
For anyone interested, here is another 13 minute video he produced on the final judgment.
Nearly every verse he cites regarding being judged by works or deeds pertains to the Jews who were/are under the law. Even his appeal to the great white throne judgment in Revelation 20:11-15; he gravitates to the "books" which figures the law of Moses by which the Jews will be judged rather than the book of life by which the Gentiles, who are under grace, will be judged.
God's Word is clear...crystal clear, actually, but I've seen way too many work way too hard to make it say things that it just doesn't. I don't know if this is because they think that things just can't be that simple, got bored with it at some point, and sought out a more mysterious angle, or, were truly deceived from the start, thanks to their own faulty interpretations, or some other deceived individual indoctrinating them. I worked at a hotel in Vegas for several years, and this guy, Larry Klein, would always come to visit, bible in hand, and try to teach me. He had the strangest, most unorthodox interpretations that were so out there, and he would get so upset when I'd disagree on anything. He was another one who, no matter what he was shown, was absolutely stuck, and dug in deep with his very odd views, never budging on anything because he had everything figured out and nothing left to learn. Because of this, everyone else was beneath him, deceived, and heading down, while he was heading up. These sorts are dangerous.
A degree in liberal arts used to allow for critical thinking skills. But now itâs a manure field for political correctness/ statest communist/ Nazism. So, if they want to increase their enrollment for Asians,( smart kids as opposed to stupid kids) offer degrees that help get jobs and improve research. Liberal arts donât pay, and tell the professional students that their sit in, wonât pay the bills or rid the university of the â five year â plan debacle.

@ Collin Retkowski (or a disciple of his) aka Lie Detector.
I read your posting history yesterday to get a better feel for your theology. Getting down to the bare bones, I believe I can sum it up thusly:
You believe when Jesus said "It is finished", He was speaking only for Himself. He didn't accomplish anything for you personally except to set an example of what you must do by means of your own freewill, your own faith and your own merit.
If this pretty well sums up your belief and you are sure you have accomplished this, there remains one thing lacking on your part.
While you are yet perfect and sinless you need to find a tree and hang on it till dead and hope He who is the Resurrection will raise you up to immortality, incorruption and eternal life on the last day.
One other thing; Jesus was without sin His entire life. I doubt you would make that claim. Surely there was a time in your life you had sinned before you came to your present state of sinless perfection. So the question is: By what means were your past sins remitted?
1 Original sin 2 Penal Substitution 3 Eternal Security 4 Imputed Righteousness 5 Faith Alone 6 Predestination 7 Pretribulation Rapture
Ah well......
I'm right glad I'm trusting in the Saviour to save me rather than myself.
Romans 8:30 KJV (30)Â Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Lie Detector wrote: You have had the high ground long enough.
High ground? How about the gospel. Thee blessing of Abraham.
DEUT 30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest *live*.
Luke 10:25 Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Luke 10: 26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt *live*.
1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
Gal 2:20 And the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the *faith* of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Gal 3:14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through *faith*.
So SermonAudio did publish my comments in the end, though it took them long enough. Good, great, keep it up. It is better to be open. But your days are numbered. You have had the high ground long enough. The abomination that is the Protestant Reformation (or the heresy of the AntiChrist Catholic Church taken to its limit) is doomed. Simply cutting, pasting scriptures together to create horrible fake theology isn't going to work any more. Your Pharisee doctrines, rooted in Catholic dogma are going to be exposed. Here thay are:
This is the Great Beast, the Language of the Dragon deceiving the entire world. You can twist scripture to make them sound plausible, but the expose is coming. Just remember that the newborn you hold in your arms is as innocent, pure and blameless as the day is long. This is God's glory. Jesus himself said so (Matt 18). Anybody who tells you otherwise is a liar with no truth in them. That is how you know your theology stinks. Enjoy it while it lasts.
"value and demand in the region," according to the seminaries ... Overcome by 3rd Mill Bible projects, lessons to apply to life. Not abstract theology by "come to my home and live like me" Type School "Evangelicalism has seen its better days. God is at work around the world, but the Western world is languishing and the old way of training pastors has fallen on hard times. The agenda for training pastors must not be set by scholars. Where is the spiritual training in the field? Where is the one-on-one discipleship? Itâs time to bring a reformation into the preparation of pastors and elders for the next generation of churches. We need more spiritual men, Galatians 6:1 men, praying men, Spirit-filled men, and self-denying, cross-carrying men to lead the church in our day. How do we get them?
