Guilty Until Proven Innocent

Buried in the mammoth National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) — which funds military spending, and is considered must-pass legislation — is a provision that allows the president of the United States to capture and detain “enemy combatants,” including Americans, indefinitely, without any charges ever being brought. The language is written in such a sweeping way that even the United States itself can be considered part of the battlefield in the “war on terror.” Those arrested can be designated enemy combatants by the administration, and then imprisoned indefinitely by the military without habeas corpus or trial or being found guilty. Many Americans — such as former Army Public Affairs Officer Tom McCuin in his article “What’s Really in the National Defense Authorization Act?” — dismiss the threat ...

I was reminded about the children in Orwell's famous book, "1984" remember how the children could say, "He's a spy!" And how Winston Smith was afraid? You were labeled guilty and I don't think you could defend yourself.

Frank said, "A lawyer is thought to be successful if they get their clients off; not if true justice was served." This is true, but it's also true that a prosecutor is deemed successful if he/she has a high rate of convictions. Never mind about justice; that isn't even an issue.

A lawyer is thought to be successful if they get their clients off; not if true justice was served. In the cultures of the world, if someone can commit crimes undetected, then society has no way of knowing they violated the law.
But, yes, our heavenly father can not only see what we do, but He also knows what we think and desire. His judgment is and will be perfect!
Amen, how great is our God!

Strange, President Trump had objections to this bill, which she signed last December, but they weren't the same objections, that the John Birch Society had.
