C&MA Denomination Decides Not to Discipline Ravi Zacharias Over Credentials, Illicit Relationship
The Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination has decided not to discipline apologist and author Ravi Zacharias following a review of the accusations against him regarding credential misrepresentation and an alleged affair.
In a statement posted on the Christian & Missionary Alliance website Monday, the denomination said that evidence does not warrant discipline under its policy.
"Ravi Zacharias has maintained his licensing credentials through The Christian and Missionary Alliance for 45 years. Along with all C&MA licensed workers, he is subject to the Uniform Policy on Discipline, Restoration, and Appeal," the statement read, noting that he has in recent months been accused of inflating his academic credentials.
"Mr. Zacharias and his employer, Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, have revised and clarified their communications to address these concerns. The C&MA has determined that...
Horrible, and at any given time our feet can slip, and we can be in the same boat. Flee fornication , don’t linger, all of this happens not just to the infamous, but 60% of clergy access pornography , 85% students who identify as Christian, access pornagraphy, and if we are to be a witness for Christ, there are things we have to do, that keeps us untainted.
The 2008 Honorary Chairman of the National Day of Prayer, Dr. Ravi Zacharias, is refusing to pray in the name of Jesus Christ in his prayer posted on the official NDP website. Dr. Zacharias' prayer can be read here. A receptionist with the National Day of Prayer in Colorado Springs stated that the Honorary Chairman's prayer does not include the name of Jesus so as not to offend the Jewish participants in the event, and that others are free to pray in Jesus name if they desire. Contrast that betrayal of Jesus Christ with the faithfulness of the first martyr, the Apostle Stephen, who died in a hail of stones for his fearless preaching of Christ crucified to the Jewish religious leaders of his day.
The above is from the internet. I remember when this occurred and to me it was shameless and a form of denying Christ. The world will be offended by the name of Jesus, but shame on any who name the name of Christ being ashamed.
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 1 Timothy 3:2
The "Doctor" has publicly lied for years and got himself caught up in a compromising position with a woman/extortionist, and settled out of court with money he gets from people as tithe to God, and threatened to commit suicide. How is that blameless? Of course they don't want to talk about it in order to protect the "doctor", so it will all be swept under the rug, nothing to see here!
It seems like that these two men, C.J. Mahaney and Ravi Zacharias, have encouraged, I would directly point out, why does one have to go with a tree that has provided bad fruit when there are so many around that have shown that they have consistently provided good? I would suggest some of the following reasons for that.
Dr. James Emery White wrote: What is a cult of personality?
It’s when a person becomes the center of attention rather than Christ; an individual looms larger than a mission; a figure is given more status than the organization itself.
... consider the following ten signs, in no particular order, of a cult of personality at work in a local church:....
1. The demand for special treatment, special honor, special recognition....
4. If the leader were to leave, die, or fall into scandal...the entire enterprise would collapse....
Etc. --]]http://tinyurl.com/y6wccgv2 (The Cult of Personality) Just avoid churches like the above.
