Benny Hinn Admits Going Too Far With Prosperity Gospel
In the wake of the death of renowned evangelist Billy Graham, controversial faith-healing televangelist Benny Hinn, who has often been criticized for his endorsement of the prosperity gospel, said in a stunning confession Wednesday that sometimes he has taken the erroneous gospel too far.
"We get attacked for preaching prosperity, well it's in the Bible, but I think some have gone to the extreme with it sadly, and it's not God's word what is taught and I think I'm as guilty as others. Sometimes you go a little farther than you really need to go and then God brings you back to normality and reality," Hinn, 65, said as he reflected on Graham's death with a ministry colleague in a Facebook Live broadcast....
Have you seen this in any news outlet other than this "Christian Post"? In fact, I have seen very little made of Graham's 'graduation' in the news media; most are preoccupied with guns, the FBI's incompetence, the Broward sheriffs cowardice, the Steele report that Hillary Clinton paid for, etc.

Benny Hinn does nothing unless it suits Benny Hinn. He's been at this far too long. His conscience is seared and his only hope is if God has written him name in the book of life. If so, then perhaps, something is at work in him. Only God knows.

Hi Jon, for anyone who doesn't know him, along with his history, and the inner workings of his false ministry, his words will be soothing, as they think, "Hey, sounds good to me he's good in my book, and a man about The Lord's work"
Hmmm...Unfortunately, it's just another false preacher using mere words to throw a blanket over, and to cover up who he really is and what he's really about. Just the mere fact that he visits Kathryn Kuhlman, and Aimee McPherson's graves to receive annointings from the Holy Spirit, according to Him, along with the fact that he has told his followers that Katheryn Kuhlman is his female spirit guide should be plenty enough to expose him, but his ministry still thrives, regardless.
Benny Hinn want's persecution? Is he nuts? Jesus taught us to flee persecution whenever possible. The Lord's prayer also is specific in teaching us pray NOT to be led into temptation [the Greek term having the connotation of "testing"]. Jesus Himself prayed for the cup to be removed from Him if possible. No, I don't trust Mr. Hinn, and in my mind his statements in this article probably have some ulterior motive that I can't fathom.
2 Corinthians 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. ---KJV
JFB Commentary wrote: 17. not as many‚ÄĒ (2 Corinthians 11:18 Philippians 2:21). It's really too bad that there aren't better laws covering televangelists ]]http://tinyurl.com/zcqe93h (Prosperity Preachers Salaries--Silver and Gold Have I Quite a Large Sum). A golden oldie but still relevant.
But there were false prophets alo among the people, even as there shall be false preachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denyinging the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you, whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. (2 Peter 2:1-3) AV.
“Pope John Paul II pointed millions to Jesus Christ when he was Pope. And I believe we're in for the greatest move of the Spirit of God on this planet."

What? The Pope pointing people to Jesus? Hinn is a false prophet! Pope John Paul II pointed billions of people to MARY!!!Pope John Paul II pointed people to himself, to the Catholic priests, to the Seven sacraments, to religion, to Mary; BUT, not to Jesus Christ. You cannot point people to Jesus Christ while simultaneously teaching the traditions of men. John 4:24 plainly teaches that God must be worshipped in TRUTH, not the traditions of men. What a deception!!! This is why Christ said in Mark 7:7...
"Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
...because nobody has ever been able to confirm any bonafide healings. In fact, one other thing they would do is to put people in wheelchairs who may have just had a limp or something, wheel them up for healing, and then Hinn would command them to stand, and everyone would scream, "praise God!", when the people had no problem standing in the first place. He's really something.
I agree, Dave, but highly unlikely. This man is so way off on so many things, and personally, I believe he knows very little of God's Word, and only those parts, really, which he uses to promote and justify his fake ministry...a lot of single, out of context scriptures and references that he's used to build an empire. There was a 20/20 type undercover investigation done on his healing ministry years ago, which was very enlightening. The investigation exposed plants that would be called up for healing, and very detailed questionnaires used to gather information on those in attendance which were used to make it sound like Hinn was getting personal information directly from the Spirit. He also wore an earphone that someone behind the scenes was feeding information to about who he called up for healing, once again, making it appear as if God was speaking directly to him about the person who was "marked" that night to be called up for healing. Such a charlatain, but the masses still eat it up. I remember one time he was on some Christian talk show, and when asked about those who were calling him a phoney, etc., he held up his arms like he was shooting, while saying that he was gonna kill them all with his holy ghost machine gun. Why this man has a following is beyond me becaus
Dave wrote: I do pray this Hinn uses the same nous his nephew did, that he was repent and preach the Gospel
"take the Bible and you take what Jesus taught and you take some of the promises of heaven and the riches of heaven and the wonderful glories of heaven and you make them a now thing, then you really have a model for your best life now." "That's really not the heartbeat of Christianity," he continued, "the heartbeat of Christianity is, if you have wealth, you want to be generous and rich in good works. If God has blessed you with a lot, you have a great responsibility." Prosperity gospel is the teaching that "believers have a right to the blessings of health and wealth and that they can obtain these blessings through positive confessions of faith and the 'sowing of seeds' through the faithful payments of tithes and offerings." ..particularly dangerous to those living in impoverished nations who give the last of their money to prosperity preachers in hopes that they will receive material blessings.
