Denmark poised to ban Islamic full-face veils
The Danish government is poised to become the next European country to introduce a ban on Islamic full-face coverings in public places.

The government said it planned to fine people who wore items including the burqa and the niqab which are worn by some Muslim women.

Under the proposals anyone found covering their face would be fined 1,000 kroner (£120), or up to 10,000 kroner (£1,200) if they are repeatedly caught.

Sadly Glasgow, the biggest city in Scotland; also has the biggest Mosque/compound in Europe.
Whatever next I often ponder, but take absolute solace in the Fact;
He, is still in control!

Yes, penned, it probably is; but God is still sovereign, and there have been some true conversions through this outreach, though tiny in number.

We have to occupy until He comes, and this church and others like it are beacons in a dark place.

This city is now very strongly Islamic, although there is also a strong Hindu and Sikh community as well.

The City Council also has many Islamic councillors, and one of the leading spokesmen for British Islam is the imam of a very large purpose built mosque in the city.

Meanwhile the official "Christian" churches are bending over backwards to accommodate this, with their interfaith approach.

I do, however, praise God, that there is some clear witness there, as the last church I attended, in the Islamic district, a large evangelical church, is uncompromisingly reaching out to the Muslims, and preaching the Gospel faithfully there.

I lived in a large city in the East Midlands of England for many years.

In the Islamic district of that city, near where I lived, and where the three churches I attended over the years were located, I saw drastic changes while I was there.

At first, burkas and niqabs were very rare, young women might have a simple headscarf, and a few a more thorough hijab. Men would just wear casual Western dress, and women a simple trouser suit or a long dress.

Over time however, the men all started wearing tunics, long beards, and little caps, and the scarves and hijabs grew more extreme. Most women in this district today wear long robes, and the burka and niqab is now increasingly in evidence. Women even wear this in the centre of the city.

Mosques were being built, madrasahs (religious schools for children and young adults) were also springing up, and now there are both private and state funded Islamic day schools, as well as residential seminaries and schools.

I remember following the Iraq war, they did an on the street interview of some Muslim women. They asked them if they were please they would no longer have to wear veils. (Not sure where they came to that conclusion). Anyway, the women said they would continue to wear them so that men wouldn’t hit on them as much. It was interesting to say the least.

But, those who celebrate these things because it only affects Muslim women should understand that these restrictions will be applied to Christians in some manner. These secular societies see all religions as the same. So, public praying, carrying a bible, public preaching, etc. will likely be stopped if they haven’t already been?

U.S.poised to mandate Islamic full-face veils for certain Dem leaders

Hillary Clinton. Barbara Mikulski. Dianne Feinstein. Nancy Pelosi. Samantha Power. Janet Reno. Donna Shalala**. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Barbara Boxer. What do all of these women have in common? They are Democrats. And they are 🐑 ugly. Mere statistics alone would suggest if you got a dozen or so Democrat women politicians together there would be some glimmer of attractiveness, no matter how dim, somewhere. But you would be wrong. However, now, thanks to SCIENCE, we know why:...

Research has found that being attractive influences many things in a person’s life — their salary, their popularity and grades in school, even the prison sentences they receive. So why not their politics?

A recently published study in the Journal of Public Economics concludes that the attractiveness of a candidate does correlate with their politics. They find that politicians on the right are more good looking in Europe, the United States and Australia.

“We are just saying that for reasons linked to communication, identification and safety, public services should be given and received with an open face,” Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard told reporters in the province's National Assembly.

“We are in a free and democratic society. You speak to me, I should see your face, and you should see mine. It's as simple as that,” he said.
