Dow down a record 1,175

The Dow fell as much as 1,597 points in afternoon trading, the largest intraday drop in history. The blue-chip index’s 4.6% decline reflected its worst day since at least Aug. 10, 2011. Coming off its worst week in two years, the Dow wiped out its 2018 gains with its pullback Monday.

The CBOE Volatility Index, known as the market’s “fear gauge,” soared 115% to its highest level since 2011.

Stocks have lost steam with investors refocusing on the potential for faster inflation growth. Job gains in January fueled those concerns, turning a spotlight on the Federal Reserve and its timeline for interest rate hikes. A stronger-than-expected gain of 200,000 U.S. jobs was seen as raising the odds that the central bank will increase its benchmark rate in March. The report also offered more evidence that the U.S. economy is gaining strength with wages climbing at their strongest pace since 2009. ...

Could be, the market is correcting, because 2 trillion dollars is coming back into the economy, and its most likely going to about growth for the citizens and for investment for economy as opposed to the shareholders growth .

The ones who never get married, party every weekend and live completely for themselves. They are not many left who still follow the Lord in the age group.
Good comment! Yes, our country teaches that greed is a good thing and societal success is some kind of sign that the Lord loves them. The rich and famous are normally held to a different standard then let’s say the ditch digger. But our Lord said:

1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Yes, I have a grandson who is into the Bitcoin thing.

Or as Bloomberg put it:

I see the number 666 was in this story. Bloomberg did end up, upbeat though.
