Trump Meets With North Korean Defectors From “Depraved” Regime
In a speech peppered with emotional and dramatic moments (including the introduction of the parents of children murdered by members of an immigrant gang), perhaps the most dramatic moment of the State of the Union message came when President Donald Trump introduced Ji Seong-ho (shown), in an effort to illustrate what Trump called the “depraved character of the North Korean regime.”

Ji waved his crutches that he had formerly used before he obtained artificial legs, in a vivid demonstration of the brutality of the North Korean communists.

Ji was one of seven dissidents to that regime who met with Trump today in the Oval Office in the White House. He lost a leg and an arm while scavenging for coal to stay warm in the repressive nation of North Korea, with his limbs severed by a train. The North Koreans then amputated what was left of the severed limbs, without using anesthesia. He was later ...

John of UK, there have been many apostate influences. Even the dynastic Communist family in North Korea had some Christian influences.
Mark O'Neill wrote:
His real name was not Kim Il-sung but Kim Sung-kye. He was born in 1912 into a Presbyterian family that was comfortably off; his father was a teacher and elder in the church. In 1920, like many other Koreans, they moved to Manchuria to escape famine or Japanese rule....

As far as the State of the Union message went:

David Brooks wrote:
...Yes. He’s — he’s doing well in the polls. He’s got a bump. The whole Republican Party has got a bump.

Citing all the heroes in the balcony turned out to be a very clever thing, because it gave people something to admire. It was a little bit of uplift. It prevented Trump from talking about himself a little more.

And so that was successful. So, you have to say — I didn’t like the emotional mood of the speech, but you have to regard it as a success for the Trump administration....

2Sam4:4
And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
..
3And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet. 4And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar. 5Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar. 6Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant! 7And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually. 8And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

The leader of NK reminds me of the charismatic leaders, always promising something, plenty of bluster, but never coming up with the goods. It's always just around the corner. They've been saying it for years, "God is doing something new!" Amazing how people fall for it. But they do, in their millions. Never stopping to think, always living a half-hearted Christian life, weak and powerless, singing their songs with all their armour discarded, failing continually, imagining that the "buzz" is the holy Spirit of God.
