Ancient Version of Book of Acts Finally Being Decoded

Experts at the University of Iowa are finally able to look at the pages of a badly damaged ancient manuscript that is believed to be the Biblical book of Acts.

The manuscript known as M.910 arrived at New York City's Morgan Library in the early 1960s.

Iowa Public Radio reports the manuscript was originally recorded by Coptic monks in Egypt roughly 1,500 years ago.

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

Yes, just finished watching this one. It was the first time I had ever seen James White, (putting forward a contrary view to balance out the documentary) and I must say that I got bad vibes listening to him.

Great film, bringing the whole thing up to date, with the present effort of the Jesuits to infiltrate the translating of a modern Bible which will be accepted the world over, which thing is largely covered in the Book of Revelation, concerning the last days and the great apostasy.

From this day forth, I am going to be far more diligent, and have no truck with anything Catholic, not even a whiff of Catholic. The papacy is still the great enemy of the saints, and seeks their downfall. Must be resisted!

I know after reading and watching I have learned quite a bit more about the topic.
I was not a KJV onlyist before reading more on the topic and watching The lamp in the dark series, nor am I after. On a personal note, over the last 3 years in my studies, I began to set aside the ESV as the main text in favor of the KJV as the text simply was not rendering the picture as good as the KJV. Specifically, the ESV was more brief and used word choices which failed to measure up to the ones used by previous translators of the KJV, the 1560 Geneva, William Tyndale, W.Whittingham and other translators.
With the new information, I have had my thoughts reshaped by new information I had no known before. The Greek manuscripts which were used to form the TR is most assuredly the true vine which the OT Hebrew did help shape the translation into a pure language as God promised He would.
Zephaniah 3:9 (KJV)
9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
Thanks James! A fourth, eh? What a blessing!

I just finished the amazing film documentary called "A Lamp In The Dark". Most eye-opening and helpful, especially when it comes down to which Bible.

The Douay-Rheims Bible I mentioned earlier does not have "daily bread" in the Matthew 6 passage of the Lord's prayer, but "supersubstantial bread". Can you believe it? Well, there is subterfuge for you. Engineered by the Jesuit Order. "Give us this day our supersubstantial bread." Obviously to promote the mass. But it is not in the Greek.

Truths known independently to each of them, must at the bottom of documents having such discrepancies and such agreements as these in question."J.J. Blunt

in his section related to the Gospels and Acts, Blunt identified the inadvertent parallel passages discovered when examining the Gospels forensically. Blunt described the phenomenon as a series of “undesigned coincidences” and identified over 40 locations in the New Testament where this feature of unintentional eyewitness support could be seen on the pages of Scripture. “

Yea and amen bro. It is no small thing to know what that "Bible" was called before it was finally named "Douay-Rheims".

And how it was utilised to promote the mass in its bizarre translation of "Give us this day our daily bread".

Doesn't mean the lexicon is wrong... condensed maybe to include 24 other similar root words instead of just the 2 (tetelestai) at John 19:28, 30.

It concerns the "finished work" of our Lord Jesus Christ, compared with the ongoing and false transubstantiation of the RCC.
If you go to this location in the film, you will see why I had a bit of a problem with the greek word which they say is "tetelestai" = "paid in full".
I don't have a problem with the sacrifice of the Lord as being completed, accomplished, finished, once-for-all, never to be repeated, dying a substitute for the elect - this is glorious truth and worthy of contemplation and cause of great rejoicing and praise unto God. And sure, it was a sacrifice which "paid in full" our debt to God for our sins. Causes one to rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Amen.
