Apple’s Tim Cook doesn’t want his nephew to use social networks

Although he runs the biggest tech company on the planet, Apple Inc. Chief Executive Tim Cook is concerned by the risk that technology poses to kids.

Speaking at Harlow College in Essex, England, last week, Cook said there should be limits on the use of technology in schools, and said he doesn’t want his young nephew using social media.

Cook’s comments came a couple weeks after some major Apple shareholders said the iPhone-maker needs to be more socially responsible and help kids kick their phone addictions. ...

This might have less to do with concern about the kid's health than with the info the kid shares on social media coming back to bite Cook in the end.

Social media is one of the few areas of tech that Apple is not involved in. It may be just as well — last week Twitter Inc. TWTR, -1.67% admitted many more users that previously reported had been exposed to Russian misinformation around the 2016 presidential election, and Facebook Inc. FB, -1.48% is in the process of revamping its news feed in an effort to weed out misinformation and provide a healthier user experience

Degenerated " seedless" mutations aside

"And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good."
Gen 1:22 tells us of a basic heritage in the "Apple" kind
As Ken Han notes- loss of information is part of the curse-
Adam would be sad to see a poodle- or as Ken terms it
-" a degenerate mutant freak"

- apples might be a lot worse than the original , but seeds are a definitional characteristic.

We can cull seeds out of the basic kinds tho/

Fruitless endeavors of Facebook are bad seed - sterile fruit.

@NotSure: 1300 x 2 or 3 or 4 or 5, etc., comments = a multitude of words. Happens often in SA's news section. And, like I'm doing now, the posted comments aren't about the article.

Good verse there.
I think we ahould take heed from that before we smoke the keyboard from anger against our brother.

John UK, the mark of the beast is likely a spiritual thing that has always been. but it is played out in the physical so I think your concerns are warranted. for instance, many first century Christians would not burn incense to the local gods and were perscuted. so you have the roman paganism, but you also have the babylonian paganism carried out in the synagogues of that time, which is where you get Revelations 2:9, 3:9, where the synagogues are used to persecute the brethren.

the synagogues were were judicial decisions were made, it wasn't just for worship...

so it is interesting now how Christians like Phillips are dragged through the courts, and I'll post this again for the brethren who need to see this....

https://www.adl.org/education/resources/backgrounders/adl-lgbt-community-a-commitment-to-equal-rights?_ga=1.155756987.1261491954.1465225593

so ADL is claiming their victory in multiple court cases and hate law legislation to advance LGBT (against the Christians moral law).... and so it could not be made any clearer here that the cultural marxism we see is not an accident, but a purposeful organized thing... and this the greatest spiritual battle I see is the judaizing of scriptures is weakening the church, and when I mean church, I mean believing Jew and

Even when the US culturally adhered to certain moral obligations stated in the Bible, that didn't save nor damn one more person... the preaching of the Gospel ALONE saves and changed people, not government/social reform. I could care less about these miniscule issues.
Well said! The U.S. has never been a Christian nation. Those who think they can take back the culture (whatever they mean by that) are mostly dominionists or some off-shoot of that.

Yes, the Lord allows satan to control this world, but nothing can deter God's plan for mankind and the second coming of His Son.

that is what marxists do.
It is something that concerns me, Penny. There are some things going on today which ought to be spiritually analysed to ascertain whether or not they pertain to endtime prophecy. Unfortunately I don't have that sort of wherewithal to accomplish it. But I often wonder, for example, if the slow but sure move away from cash to the card (and later to the RFID), and the enforced use of online -------, especially from the guv, and so on and so forth, is not part of this scenario.

Chase, you are not the only one who feels that way. Just for your encouragement.

Social media overuse isn't just an issue for kids: "mature" people use Facebook as a sort of daily Christmas letter, posting how wonderful their lives are, bragging about their kids, "cute" stuff, or memes they think are profound. If they say anything unbiblical or false, one dares not point it out, lest they be offended and "unfriend" you. So much for "iron sharpens iron."

its no mistake that Bill Gates was involved with the common core (public schools) push... or that ADL helps in the process with teaching little ones about transgender or bringing transgenders into their classrooms...

sorry to be a downer, but Christians will not have the victory in a continual state of denial.

they demand compliance and allegience.

this is not the persians and russians building a grid to end the Christian family and drag them through court and take their ability to buy and sell.

".,,open a children’s book about Adam and Eve and read about their sin, chances are that it would say Adam and Eve ate an “apple.” ..

It’s not just in children’s books. For example, this idea made its way into the encyclopedia:

Many people believe an apple was the fruit that, according to the Bible, Adam and Eve ate in the Garden of Eden. 1
The confusion of this fruit with the apple may be due to the similarity of the two words in the Latin translation of the Bible, known as the Vulgate. The word evil in the tree's name in Latin is mali (Genesis 2:17). The word apple in other places is mala (Proverbs 25:11) or malum (Song of Solomon 2:3). It seems like this similarity may have led to the confusion. In the original Hebrew, the words are not even close. The word in Genesis 2:17 for evil is rah, while the word for apples in Proverbs 25:11 and Song of Solomon 2:3 is tappuwach."

"..a clue "
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."
